Hi, been playing MKW online since May, port forwarded and DMZ'd already.
Today I got an Ethernet to USB adapter (https://manhattanproducts.us/products/manhattan-en-usb-20-fast-ethernet-adapter-506731) and I've tried to death to make it work, already looked in Nintendo's official website, YouTube and some forums but it just doesn't work, which is weird because it works just fine on my computer, am I doing something wrong? I plugged it in with the console turned off and all that but again, it doesn't seem to work, but I don't believe the adapter isn't compatible with the Wii. Thanks.

The error code I get varies on what connection slot I use, for 1 it gives me 52420, for 2 it gives me 52421 and for 3 it gives me 52422, which I find weird

Sadly Amazon is not an option for me (taxes etc.), I'll try to look on AliExpress, but I want to see if I can make the Manhattan one work

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

Found it LOL

Do you have the USB 2.0 or 3.0 version? Maybe that affects it somehow

Well, the Wii usb ports only read at 2.0, 3.0 should be fine for ethernet though. I just whatever was cheapest and it hasn't let me down yet.

The LAN adapter needs to have the USB ID 0b95:7720 (which is the ID of the ASIX AX88772 chip). Adapters with a different USB ID or a different chip will not work on the Wii.

You can check the ID of your adapter using "lsusb" on Linux, or the device manager on Windows (Windows calls it VID and PID for the two parts I believe).
