For you of course expert mode.
Easy mode is for those who just want to use cheats others made.
In easy mode the default is no force attach if the cheat isn't there. When the cheat is in the database it will automatically put in the the contents directory and attach dmnt. Press - then x to set expert mode. Press R+B to make option screen appear and press Rstick for more option and press X to toggle off "no auto attach".
Concerning the LED the new libnx cause that and I haven't find the time to go see what I need to do to put the old behavior back. Now pro controller's LED lights up instead. I have update release note for 3.8.03 which explain how the new features works. You may need to also look at previous release note to see some of the other changes I made since 3.7.1

What is the difference either way.

Cheating may reduce a good game that would have presented many hours of enjoyment to a much reduce sub par experience. Game like Animal Crossing and Pokemon can provide decades of enjoyment to the true fan but maybe just days of enjoyment for cheaters.

Cheating makes bad game better and great game average.

The reason to cheat is what is worth seeing isn't worth the time and effort to get there and the process of getting there isn't enjoyable so in the end would have been a total waste if not for the cheats. The same reason you don't want spoiler before watching a movie and only ask for how the movie ends cause you can't bear to watch it till the end and yet have a bit of curiosity about the ending. Another reason is the developer messed up some of the levels and cheating let you access the good stuff without suffering the bad stuff.

For my playing Zelda breath of the wild without cheats was great i finishd the game and really enjoy it .
But playing it again with Amazing cheats was incredible fun i was able to play like never before , with a moonjump is almost like flying , its more relaxing ; you see the game from another perspective . It open a world of a lot of other things that some people woudnt be able to do if the cheats were no existed .
There are a lot of games that i got bored , bur with the cheats i finished them because it helped them beeign more fun . But again is just my opinion

I can give you some codes if you want. No moon jump. If you do some trial and error you probably can get the key items and just bypass the going all over the place to collect items part of the game.

I think that in the end each person enjoys their games their own way, with or without cheats, and all these different ways are valid because we are all different. I have played Breath of the Wild without cheats and later with cheats too, and I have enjoyed these two experiences to the fullest, because both of them were unique.

I don't have the game if I find it I'll try to find the moon jump (I don't promise anything, I want to use the newer Edizon SE).
