Hello to all. the first ps5 game has been ripped. in my opinion what hacks will be possible on ps5?
1 The "classic" web hack with a HEN
2 A player hack using the various bluray hack/exploit. To climb the privileges or to make a cfw of the reader or an ode (only piracy)
3 A way to install PSN content without changing the console fw (on PS3 there is a similar method) sadness (piracy only)
4 Use the new peripherals and various ports to install or modify the firmware to be possible accept unsigned code
5 Sony still uses peripherals to fix the ps5 as it did on the PS3 with the USB stick

Ok that's my speculation. What you think? Do I have another speculation? A chip for a reset glitch hack? A ssd upgrade with a modded controller for hack ps5?

The dumping of encrypted games/pkgs I have never understood. They’re entirely useless unless you’re into archiving them... why?... again I don’t know...
Archiving is probably a good enough reason, but we all know that's not it and it's just petty scene flexing.

I feel like this thread should have been made into a poll. On the Edge of the Forum.
Ok... What you think about Dev/hacker/researcher do for defeat ps5 security? Or the new money bounty method destroy the scene?

Dont you think maybe they already have ps5 keys or whatever they called from capcom leaks hehe to run unlicensed apps

I think people should wait to hack the system. It would keep the largest library of playable games possible, while also curbing piracy until the system has had time to mature and a good amount of money has gone to devs. I guess I'm an ethical pirate. :gba:

PS5 just came out I wouldn't want a jailbreak until the next 5 years close to EOL. Jailbreaking things too early isn't that good for the developers nor the company as a whole. I pirate games like everyone else but it has to be at least limitations to this. Put it this way lets just say there is a jailbreak now and Sony patch it now youre back to square one. Look at the PS4 scene devs should take note and just release the jailbreak at the end of the PS5 life cycle.

I agree doing it now isn't a very good idea it's far too early

The longer they wait, the bigger library of games can that can be played from that firmware, on back to launch titles.
But ps5 is backwards compatible, that will definitely be the largest game library asset for at least five years anyway.

I still think the Wii U has the largest library of games of any game console. It can play Gamecube, Wii, and Wii U natively without emulation... Which is just incredible in it's own right. It also has all the emulators for N64 and PS1 on down too. But then again, the BC PS3 can play the first 3 generations of PlayStation libraries. Which is also very impressive, even on an unhacked BC PS3.

You're correct I'd say, and also add how nice NDS VC works on the Wii U. But I was talking about the PS5, the games for it right now barely matter in comparison to BC. If it was cracked open today, I might get one just for BC and wouldn't mind if newer PS5 games weren't playable for some years more.

I never did it with my PS4, to be honest, didn't see the point, to be honest. I might look into it today but my firmware is probably too new anyway
