Hi, so I will have three switches by Christmas in the house and I am not really understanding the way the Nintendo accounts work for online.
I know you can have the same account on multiple consoles, if I do this will they all go online at the same time, my main question is can two of them play fortnite at the same time?
Sorry for the stupid question but struggling to get a clear answer.
Thanks

You can use the same account on multiple switches but you can only play one game active on one account at a time, so no Fortnite running on two switches running on the same account at the same time.

Family online membership doesn't change how games on primary and secondary unit work, you can only have one active game running on one account regardless how many switches you have link, so you can't have fortnite running unless they are from two different accounts on two different switches. In the case of Fortnite, since it is free, you need to create two newer account and download fortnite on that account instead.

The family plan will allow you to have 8 accounts that all have access to Nintendo Switch Online. If you want to have a different account on each switch, it is a really good deal because normally it's $20 a month But the family membership is only $35 And you can put all 3 accounts on their and even have 5 left over to give to your friends or whatever. But anyways,Besides those account getting the nintendo online memberships, Only one game from each account can be played on line at once. So if you bought super smash brothers and Mario kart on the same account, If you were playing super smash brothers online Someone on the other switch could not play Mario kart. However, since the primary console can play games offline, you can turn on airplane mode On your switch and play offline and someone else could play on another switch online.
