gta v is cpu bond performance, its massive open world and massive area of playable field

xbox 360 capable running gta v with 3+ghz 3 corecpu, and switch only run 1ghz 3 core, even switch gpu more capable than xbox 360/ ps3

many recent port games, developer switching cpu processing to gpu , its not easy task, and gta v is massive asset and more complex compared recent title like LA Noire

what do you think guys, is possible gta v on swith?

jesus that's some broken english

LA noire released before gta 5 btw, and the cpu for the 360 is actually slower than what the specs say on paper, i remember people saying that it doesn't perform like a 3ghz triple core cpu, and a lot of homebrew was CPU bound because of it

gta 5 should be doable on the switch, but rockstar is too busy being a toxic company to actually port anything to the switch

It's typical crossgen that don't even that cutting edge. Even watch dogs is superior visually. It's from technical standpoint. From consumer's it just overrated hot garbage with poorly written plot, dull combat and boring missions. Why waste time replaying that?

gta v still sold like hotcakes these day, and they will release on ps5 lol....
i never play gta v story mode, just fooling around, on pc still heavy cpu performance rather than gpu

It'd be cool. I think it's possible, from a tech standpoint. But I don't think they will, because the Switch isn't as lucrative a market as the other consoles, and most Nintendo owners interested in Grand Theft Auto would likely already own another console capable of playing it. Try looking under the couch cushion, you probably have an Xbox 360 under there somewhere.

If nothing else, I don't see why it couldn't be another Cloud-only game for the Switch, though you really would think that some build of the game could run on the Switch given that there were PS3 and 360 versions. At the very least I have to imagine Rockstar has at least looked into do this by this point, the game remains incredibly popular and profitable, would only make sense for them to put it on yet another popular system if they can, especially since they've already rereleased at least one other game from the PS3/360 gen to the Switch. So I'm guessing they have tried already, but something was giving issues. Now that cloud games are a thing for the Switch outside of Japan though, I wouldn't be shocked if we do see word of a GTA V Cloud in the coming months for the Switch.

I'm not saying it's a good option, just that realistically that's probably the best you can hope for seeing GTA V officially on the Switch, at least on the system as it is now, maybe it could come to a hypothetical pro Switch or Switch 2 in the next few years.

CAPCOM really good job when doing port their game to switch, like dragon dogma has massive map, with native 720p and running on 307mhz gpu aka lowest portable config on switch
CAPCOM They tried to port RE7 to Switch for a while one time, but had difficulty getting any satisfactory result

RE7 is actually available to play on the Switch in Japan, but again, it's only playable on the Switch there because it is a streaming cloud version.

i meant they tried native port like RE5,6 but failed, and ended to streaming service

Excpet that isn't true as Resident Evil 7 came out on the Switch in Japan over a year before Resident Evil 6 did. Plus all the Resident Evil ports on switch have sold rather good.
