I realize I might be too late to the party, but I was wondering if anyone knew where to get a clear shell for the Wii. I like the look of seeing the internal components, but I can't seem to find one to purchase.

Sure, when it finally comes in I'll take pictures before and after transferring the Wii.
My only concern is the power LED. My Wii is in my bedroom, and I might end up transferring the power button, but I'll see how everything looks with it all clear.

Very cool, I'll probably order one soon, I believe my dust cover/cd loader is red I changed it years ago. For the price you can't complain I guess
Thanks, I'm happy with the way it turned out.
Where did you get the dust cover? I would like to replace the white plastic with the clear one, but I don't want to loose the dust cover.

I honestly can't remember, probably aliexpress but it was around thetime of the wii's initial launch date, so nearimpossible to find without a deep dive.
I'mcurrently trying to find a ipl loader for my gamecube so i can boot swiss without game or burnt DVD and having no luck

Thanks for the quick reply. I haven't had any luck finding the dust cover, so I think I'm stuck with the white plastic if I want one. I have checked aliexpress with no luck so far.
Kinda sucks, but it could be a lot worse.
I have no unfortunately don't even know what a gamegabe is, so I wouldn't know where to start looking.

Do GameCube-style cases exist for the Wii?

I have a white Wii and I'd not mind switching it although the black Wii will stay as is. Consoles in black look great.

One thing that just occurred to me.... The sound on the 2600 sucked less back then the harsh sound we hear now is from infinitely better speakers we have now, back when the 2600 was new speakers produced a almost muffled sound, like CRTs made old graphics look slightly better.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I wonder if I could recommend that to some emulation devs that perhaps the sound could use some smoothing out to simulate those old TVs
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I think a few of the early systems could benefit from that, at least up to the 8 bit generation, by the 16 bit generation I think TVs had gotten a lot better in almost every way

It's old but it's the best firmware out for DS stuff
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
it says it only works for the original R4, R4i Gold (r4ids.cn), R4iDSN (r4idsn.com) and Acekard R.P.G.
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
    nvm it does support mine

Just give it a try, but honestly if you have a 3DS you can play DS games without a card just off the internal SD card

Slightly slower loading but a bit more convenient
