ROM Hack Circle Pad Options for disabling

I searched but didn’t find any info on this subject.

Is it possible to use a plugin or something similar to disable the circle pad.

My circle pad is damaged and it is causing ghosting like movement. My D-Pad works perfectly fine in the up and down direction but not the left and right. It will work in the left or right direction if I hold the circle pad in the left direction in the main menu. In other games it’s a hit or miss.

I have cleaned the 2DS screen with a toothbrush. I have cleaned the D-pad and circle pad as well.

All other buttons and touch screen works fine.
Any ideas or suggestions?

Take the system apart clean contacts and rubber pad for d-pad and replace the circle stick

replaced circle pad and cleaned. Still have the drifting issue.

I even kept the circle pad off the 2DS and the drift continues.

Do you still have this issue? The same thing is happening to me. I wonder if it's a hardware issue or some problem with the cfw.

I got it fixed. It was a hardware issue. For me there was some dust in the are of where the Circlepad is connected.
