The newest version of nintendont (forgot which version) used to work on my 128 USB drive. After my USB Drive died, I switched to a 64 USB.

However, nintendont v5.480 doesn't work anymore and gets stuck on "Waiting for Nintendont " on the nintendont home screen. I tried other usb and even SD cards as well, no such luck yet. I had to switch to v3.349 for it to work.

I need the newest version because I want to put a UCF code on Melee, but it freezes on my old version of nintendont. And the newest version which I need won't work.

Why does it get stuck on "waiting for nintendont" when using v5.480?

Is is maybe as you said - the USB Sick,it stucks maybe on the intializing Process....
Maybe not correct formatted with FAT32......it is hard to tell.:(

What is strange, that SD Card Loading is not working....How is it formatted ? SD Card Size maybe ? Regular or microSD with Adapter ?

It sounds really strange....did you load NINTENDONT via USBLoader or directly from the Homebrew Channel please ?

Thank you.:)

I formatted with FAT32, I'm pretty sure. On every device. My SD card size is 16 GB, used as a microSD with adapter.

I load Nintendont directly from the Homebrew Channel.

Please check it if is formatted with 32KB Clusters.
Your new USB Stick maybe "hangs" on Recognition.:(
Did it work with the older Nintendont Version too ?
Your microSD Card is working correct with other Applications ?

Do you maybe also have USBLoader GX ? If yes,did you tried it to boot it from within that please ?

Thank you.:)

Wait a second here, if v5.480 is the last one, how is it that my Nintendont version is 6.489?
Try to get the last version on github, scroll down and click on loader.dol.

If using a newer version doesn't help... What brand is your USB Drive? Is it old? Is it really formatted to 32KB Cluster FAT32?

You are absolute correct.:)
...my Fault to not ask for the Vesion if he said "the Latest"....

I load Nintendont directly from the Homebrew Channel.

So it is obviously, you are maybe not on the "Latest Release" and there fore you have your Issues.:)
Please,as our Friend @MaeseJesus correctly said, please update and be so kind and tell us if it works for you or not.

Thank you.:)

My bad, didn't know a new version exists.

Anyway, I tried again to format it with 32K this time, still didn't use. Used the newer version that MaeseJesus linked, still no good. Also, I tried loading from USBLoader, freezes when I click on any game. Tried on both USB and SD Card.

Sorry for the bump, but I tried installing the very same files on my cousin's USB with the newest version of Nintendont on his Wii.

And it actually worked! Turns out it could be something wrong with my Wii that's not letting it run later versions of Nintendont. I don't know why exactly it won't work, just that I know there's something going on with my Wii.

You said "your cousin's USB", does that mean that the one you tried on your Wii and the one you tried on your cousin's system are different? Have you tried using that one on your console?

Also I don't know if it will matter but what version of Homebrew Channel are you using?
