I've been playing GT5 and wow, what an amazing racing simulator game it is. I used to play Forza 4, but now comparing the two - F4 feels like a simcade than a true simulator.

So, I'm happy that GT7 will be available early (hopefully) on PS5 because GT Sport didn't feel quite right as a "full game" and rather as something to fill the gap.

P.S. This isn't about PS or Xbox, but the 'best' racing simulator game on console.

Forza 4 all the way .... you have a gaming PC ? i dont do consoles anymore ( Except Last of US 2 ) which i completed over the weekend .... ive been hoping for a MIdnight Club Remake .............. for ages .. i wasn't impressed with the new GRID ...loved the original on 360 ... the new one looked great but felt slow af

i was like that until last year ... PC games are Free if you know what your doing ............ console games are expensive and you have to pay to play online ... .. & dont play or look as good ....

I played both, Gran Turismo 5 (also 6) and Forza 4. But the Gran Turismo games not very much because I lost interest. It didn't fell like there was much in terms of game progression.

While GT5/6 had *a lot* more cars than Forza 4, the of the content felt very inconsistent, whereas the quality of the forza content felt just right.
Forza seemingly allowed you to jump into desireable cars a lot earlier than GT, where you had to cope with undesireable cars, plenty of which where in the game multiple times over.
Quality over Quantity here.

Now, GT Sport is a great multiplayer experience (not perfect, it has it's flaws) and certainly better than Forza (5,6 and 7) in that regard, but the singleplayer is abbysmall, particular with forced online. I can't tell how often I wanted to play a few singleplayer races only to be told by the game that any progress made will not be saved because I need to update the software - so I need to wait a few hours for the update to be downloaded and installed.

Ever since Forza (1) released on the original xbox, I felt it was the better simcade racer - both games are not real simulations and trade off accurady for accesibility. So I am not really excited for GT7

Hasn't the sound designer from Forza, now part of the gran turismo team? Compared to the past Gran turismo has improved a lot in the sound department. In terms of gameplay, I guess it could be argued that Forza is more "pick and play", has the online part of improved much though? Gran turismo online is better implemented.
