Hello fellow Wii enthusiasts
I have a black Wii that I want to mod. However there is the slight problem of the previous owners inputting a parental code lock which is preventing me from running LetterBomb and really anything else hacky on the Wii. I bought the Wii used from a thrift store. It works and plays Wii and Gamecube games just fine but I really want to mod this bad boy and open it's true potential.
So I came across this link while researching how to get around the parental lock:
https://en-americas-support.nintendo.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/2982/~/forgot-parental-controls-pin
Is there any way to factory reset the Wii that does not involve contacting Nintendo? I'm uncertain how long this service will still be up for the Wii if it is still active.
I've modded my other Wii systems just fine but I never had to deal with that darn parental pin. If push comes to shove I could always try to mod the actual hardware w a modchip but it seems almost brutish considering how much of a cakewalk it has been on other Wii systems.
Has anybody else come across this issue?
