The Outer Worlds, the sci-fi RPG developed by Obsidian and involving writers of the original Fallout games, has officially received a release date on the Nintendo Switch. The game was already released on PC, PS4 and Xbox One in October 2019. Switch owners will be able to grab their copy of the game this March 6th. The announcement comes from a tweet by the game's publisher Private Division:

Note that the physical release will include a downloadable code instead of a cartridge.

i feel able pirates should just get this game from their usual sources just in spite of no physical cartrage this isn't about piracy it's a blatent attempt to kill the used game market (which imo should be considered an illegal monopoly) similar to Apples attempts to foil right to repair again should be illegal

I 100% agree with this statement any and all non physical releases like this should just be pirated. Save your money. Cheap ass company dont deserve it.

A very playable game- some people saying way to short are talking crap - this type of game you do all yr companioms side quests and thers at least 30 hours youl get out of this
If you're ultra slow. I did almost every quest (might have missed one or two) and it barely took me 11-12h to finish the game

No fun in rushing a game and skipping all the cutscenes dialogue
If I had skipped the cutscenes I would have been done in way less than ten hours. Yes, the actual gameplay part is that short. It's a great game and I had a lot of fun with it, but there is seriously no way that anyone can sink 30 hours into that game and actively do something all the time. That kind of playtime can only be reached if you open every last container and loot and sell every single item that there is in the whole game.

I logged about 30h on it but i beat it on every lvl difficulty and unlocked every trophie. Took a bit longer. First play through was maybe 7 to 8h.

30 hours ain't short think you forget people hav jobs and may only hav couple of hours a day to play games
30 hours is short, don't get me wrong I can forgive it because its a new IP but I will be offended if a sequel isn't close to 80± hours (not that they will care but i tend to sail the high sea's when companies unapologetically offend me.)

also people having jobs is no excuse, many people also can't afford to buy a ton of games a year so those couple of hours a day add up if its one of a handfull you play all year.

I'll try the game first on PC (through Green Steam lol) and if I like it, I'll be buying it on the switch, since I have little time to play and the switch is the best console for me because I can play it in my work breaks.
