Thought things were going along nicely but when it comes to the update after putting the update 3.65 into the Modoru folder and then launching hencore then modoru and choosing 3.65 it goes to update screen and keeps failing and saying it cant update keep getting an error C1-6562-9 and if I turn it off and turn it back on it try's the update again and fails. So I went into safe mode R + Home Button + Power and got into recovery. Tried to update System by connecting to a PC and it says " The latest Version of the system software is already installed" so I can't do anything.

Power off system and turn it back on and green power light is solid but screen is black. It will allow me to go back into recovery. I was wondering if I was to pick up a cheap ps3 to try the update surely I will get the same issue saying its already running the latest version of the system software.

Never had an issue modding a console ever before

Used Modoru 2.0 by SKGleba for 3.72 You should have research more before make the green light...

Try using FinalHE to fix it... or barrow a friend vita with a file data 3.72 on
ux0:data/PSP2/UPDATE/psp2updat.pup

For me 3.68 henkaku version is better because it far more likely not to brick your handle console.
because enzo is somewhat permanent...

For example: on a 3.68 tai config not always on. And if you soft brick your console probability small because the o.g firmware is untouched and if so it will not going to activate the mod in safe mode... so it is easier to restore via firmware/data ux....

Its fine, I updated the database on QCMA and it showed all the files I had transferred to the internal memory. I deleted the files and then QCMA let me reinstall the 3.72 and not i have downgraded it without any issues. Thanks

Were you able to fix the brick? Just got into the same situation
Yes see above

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

Open QCMA, change Use This Version for updates to Custom, and change Custom PS Vita version 03.720.000

Extract the update file from the PSVita OFW 3.72 and put it in the file for QCMA called PSV Updates.

Put the PS VITA into recovery but holding home button + R + Power choose recovery by PC and then wait for it to boot up. You may still get an error but QCMA should show your PS VITA. Right click on on QCMA either click on update database or backup manager I can't remember and it should show the files you have added to the memory. Delete them all and then re do the steps of going into recovery and this time it will allow you to reinstall 3.72 and then you can try downloading again

Thanks for the detailed steps! I tried this but for some reason when I went into backup manager there were no files. I wonder if it’s because I restored the system prior to doing the downgrade hack (so there’s no files essentially) or if it’s because I’ve never used qcma to back any files before. At this point I don’t know if finding a PS3 is the only way to fix this

Does your PC show your PS Vita is connected? There should be files on there as you would have put them on the memory card / Internal memory to even attempt the downgrade.

Similar situation trying to downgrade from 3.73 to 3.70 also having "The system is on the latest firmware" when recovery update.

the fix is Update the vita to the latest 3.73 then h-encore 2.... u can downgrade etc etc lucky latest firmware can downgrade atm
1. Go here in Complete Official Firmwares Section download the 3.73 update file
2. extract PSVita OFW 3.73.zip only that zip then put the PSP2UPDAT.PUP to "Documents\PSV Updates"
3. on QCMA settings
  • Use this version for updates is Custom
  • Custom PS Vita version is 03.730.000
4. on your vita, only option "Update System Software" then "Connecting to a PC" - should work, if work update next etc agreement
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
If you have this "The system is on the latest firmware"
1. Make sure again on QCMA check Custom PS Vita version is on 03.730.000 not FW 0.00 (Always up-to-date) or FW 3.60 (HENkaku/enso) or anything like that sort.

If you update and around 7% you have this "C3-12027-2"
1. Again make sure on QCMA check Custom PS Vita version is on 03.730.000 not FW 0.00 (Always up-to-date) or FW 3.60 (HENkaku/enso) or anything like that sort.
2. Also check if you have the right PSP2UPDAT.PUP for the firmware, right language for your country signed in PSN register on the vita.

Then you should be good to go :toot:

Thanks!! Works fine

i have the same problem..i tried to reinstall firmware with a ps3 but dont work
ps vita in recovery mode still blocked on """please wait""
and it is the same when i use qcma

go to recovery and select update to card

Hello! pretty much i tried doing this and it worked but i keep getting the error system software cannot be used with this system. What do i do?

I had a similar situation trying to reinstall the latest firm ware 3.73. The system says “The latest firmware is already installed.” There is a setting in QCMA “Ignore local file psp2-updatelist.xml on update folder” which is checked by default. Uncheck this option and the 3.73 version will be ready for install and you can continue the recovery as described in other postings.

Note: I think I bricked my PSVita when I tried to downgrade with the wrong firmware file. It was psvupdat.pup instead of psp2updat.pup
