I've installed many games in .nsp format on my Switch with the latest firmware (9.0.1) and the latest SX OS (2.9.2). All of this games worked well until a few days ago, when I was trying to run some of them, but the console says that the file is damaged. Some of NSP still work and all of XCI games too, but many of them are damaged. The error code is 2016-0602. What can I do?

1) Fat32 or Exfat?
2) Are you loading the XCI via an external harddrive?
3) Tried another SD Card?

ExFat might be the issue. It's prone to corruption. So I would suggest you backup your SDCard, format it to Fat32 and continue from there. However, XCI files can't be bigger than 4GB if so.
The Exfat driver in the Switch OS is junk.

@KiiWii it was just because on 9.0.0 Nintendo added some extra checks. So a lot of NSPs that was "bad installs" got marked. It was just to reinstall them and it was fine again. But would been hit instantly with those errors, not after a while. After awhile sounds like a corrupt sdcard.

Thanks that explains it enough for me :)

It’s weird, I formatted my sd to fat32 day one and still have same errors but only on the 4-5 games I installed pre 90dns.

As you say, they work fine once reinstalled (and sig patches overwritten again, idk why) but only for a few days.

Not according to HW2test. It’s a legit 400gb sandisk.

Works perfectly for all other games and Retroarch, just not for exactly the handful that got installed first off.
maybe bad dumps then. I can't really answer.

I think you were correct with the “9.0.0 introduced new checks” info.

Those NSP’s in particular were installed before I used 90dns.

Now I use pure flight mode, and everything installed in flight mode has worked perfectly for weeks now.

So the best way to avoid this kind of issues it to format to FAT32. But with the limitation of the 4GB file size, how can I install NSP games on the Switch? The only way is probably to install the games with external HDD, but can I install them on the SDCard with FAT32 format? In which format it must be the external HDD?

Yes you can install any size game with Fat32 you either have to do usb install (which means from your computer, I use Tinfoil 5.0) or you can format an external hard drive to exfat (there's no such corruption on external hard drives) and install them with SX Installer to your sd card from there.

@K3Nv2 Snow Day is pretty fun. My only bitch would be the camera controls, when you move around, say down, you have to move the right stick left or right to get camera to turn and get your view, other than that I like it so far.

From what people say pvp isn't even worth it
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
I just been playing offline, and they give you a few bots here n there on your team to help battle. I don't think it's as funny as the other games tho, more battle oriented than humor, which kinda sucks, but I'm still early in it
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
@BigOnYa, doesnt the game have a campaign mode?
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Yea, and co-op, but you can also start a pvp session and battle just with friends. You get special skill cards (powers) the more you play. And higher value cards, but you can only enable so many cards at a time.

If you can find enough for it

Toilet paper is considered the money, you collect and buy stuff with TP, kinda funny. Graphics are def better than the other games tho, I think they used Unity 5 engine.

I bet most people at the time still watched it in black and white
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@Xdqwerty, Many of them did before colour television was common.
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
Likely because black and white TV was in-expensive.

  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
It certainly wasn't inexpensive it cost the same as a new car back then
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
How much did a 1965 color TV cost?

For example, a 21-inch (diagonal) GE color television in 1965 had an advertised price of $499, which is equal to $4,724 in today's dollars, according to the federal government's inflation calculator.
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
@K3Nv2, take into consideration how economy was back then
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
Yeah that's why they listed inflation rates
