This is using docked mode clocks. So you're saying docked mode is harming Switch?
Need Overclock NS before paste the file into "Title" folder? correct me if I'm wrong.

For OC use freebird.nro?
Doesn't matter when you do it. I'm prefering sys-clk.

So is it actually feasible playing this undocked? Considering this if heat issue + battery problems are not severe.

This is the same as playing in docked mode. Even better, because air circulation is better outside of official dock.

If you're afraid of battery, then stick always to official charger.

Hello, I got a question if you don't mind:
You are saying that (if I use this in portable mode) the switch will run with the clocks as if it was docked right? Then why the game doesn't run normally at 60fps when docked? Just wondering, and thanks for this.

1. No. This mod is not ingering in executable code. And even if this would be the case - Horizon is blocking access to docked mode clocks for handheld and vice versa. So without sys-clk you can't get past clocks for handheld mode.
2. Because it's capped to 30 FPS - In both modes. This mod unlocks 60 FPS for both modes.

Edit: It looks like particles can be demanding in some places. I will try to tweak settings to get more stable framerate without going above 768 MHz for GPU.

After more testing I've added new config, revised OC profile for better performance.
Original config with
Code:
handheld_charging_official_gpu=921
is worse than rev config with
Code:
handheld_charging_official_gpu=844

What happened to v2, with all particles disabled?
It turned out that some things were broken after disabling them. For example one cutscene instead of particles was showing black stains that never dispersed. So I deleted it.

@masagrator Can this be done for Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate? That game would benefit heavily from 60fps, and I and many others would be forever grateful.
Dunno. Multiplatform games (PC + consoles) have higher chances than console-only. I'm busy with something else that I will release soon.

hi @masagrator , any chance you'll take a look at the "HOB: The Definitive Edition" ? FPS boost needs in handheld, even with OC all at max with charger i get max +5 fps , my eyes hurts , i believe FPS is capped at ~25 or just horrible port

Not a chance. I'm modding only games that I'm playing.

Is there anyway to disable mode? I want to use default setting in handheld mode but enable while plus power?

Could you update this for v1.45? I'm playing ver 1.45 and w this mod it become 1.40, and it says my save is corrupted (it's still fine when I remove this mod though).
Edit: I tried editing in boot_config.ini "Version 01.40" to "Version 01.45" but it still welcome me with 1.40 + update notes when I enter game

You can download nxdumptool and dump the updated boot_config.ini and then change FPS 30 to FPS 60.
