L4T Ubuntu
Intro
L4T Ubuntu is a version of Linux based on nvidia's linux for tegra project. It uses a different kernel compared to previous releases which allows it to use features not yet in mainline. Such as audio, docking support and vulkan.

How to connect a bluetooth controller?
if you want to connect joycon, open the bluetooth settings and press the + button to add a new device, hold down the sync button on one of the joycon and it should appear in the available devices then pair it, repeat with the other

other controllers are probably s
Seems like the back USB port doesn't work, at least the Gigabit adapter I connected doesn't seem to be recognized there. Only on the "front" USB ports.
The back port works fine for me.

The joycons are really buggy. Can't seem to get them working.

It must only be certain peripherals that don’t work with the back port. I have my keyboard connected there.

When I enter my password on the login screen, the console boots to the desktop but without the side dock and top status, and then a few seconds later it takes me back to the login screen. What can I do to fix this? It was working fine earlier today.

Maybe you accidentally chose a wrong launcher? Or installed another one which failed?

Any way to install L4T to an SSD hooked up to the dock or at least use that for storage purposes?

i was thinking the same we need just to change from where file system is been loaded so coping the ext4 part to ssd and keep the kernel on fat32 part on sdcard will do the job.Im not sure where the boot config file is.

Everything has worked well so far in installation up until I had to reboot and load the payload. When I try to load it says no payloads are available, and when I load config and check in the Linux file manager there is nothing in the payloads folder. Is there a reason it wouldn't show up? Or does anyone have a copy of the payload file?

Shameless plug but I've showed this Ubuntu build off a bit in this video ;) Mainly because I also made a video about the last Linux we had for Switch.

Have you tried SSBB? :D Would like to see how it runs, currently can't do it as I am on vacation.

It’s a config under more configs in hekate, not a playload :P

What do you mean by launcher?

Maybe fellows switchers do not use linux terminology, he should use "desktop enviroment" instead.

you can install xfce4, gnome, lxde, kde and many more variations.

installed kde plasma and it wont worked for me.

How do I replace gnome with KDE?
try "sudo apt install kubuntu-desktop" in a terminal window.

here my experiences:
1.- inmeddiatly after initial setup and unzip update. connected microSD to my linux machine and used gparted.
2.- now I've a dual boot setup 64GB=(48 GB to my NSP games+16GB to my linux setup). working fine booting linux through hekate or atmos 0.8.9 with its own payload.
3.- installed kodi, retroarch, xfce, tried kde plasma. everything very promissing.
4.-desesperated, because poor control options (input methods, joycons calibration, etc.)
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The linux on switch is a nice experience, but i will wait to get OTG and proper joycons. It desesperates me to get stuck sometimes configuring input methods.

PS. tried to instal kde active and plasma and I can't

thanks to everybody working on this nice effort.
How did you (or anyone else reading this) install Retroarch? I've been compiling it from scratch and it's taking forever, I'm surprised there's no build I could use that'd work from the get-go with L4T.

Edit: Never mind, found "L4T Ubuntu Applcation Install guides" and I'll give it a go that way instead.
