My list of games are not showing up when I go to usb under file browser. I installed the drivers and ran the compiled nut. Any tips?

did oy umake the white pop up screen larger so you can see the text input box in the top left (by default it will show the drive where you ran the program) - type inthe drive and folder where your NSP files are - eg: F:\NSP\ and then click the SCAN button to the right of where you typed the drive \ folder. It will scan and list all the files in the botton of the white popup screen.

run SX installer / lithium / tinfoil on the switch, THEN connect the USB cable between the switch and PC. Wait a sec and you should see new options of NEW FILES, UPDATES on whatever install program you're using and the white popup program on the PC should show USB: Connected.

I did as instructed but USB status remains: disconnected

Seems like Nut + Litium over USB is not working in 8.0.0.

EDIT: Actually, just moved away from ReiNX and to Atmosphere and seems better (still some strange errors, but mostly working I think).

Tinfoil 1.56 tells me I have Kosmos installed - even though I don't (I'm using sxos), then gives a red screen and exits. I went back to 1.55 which works fine.

Quick question @blawar I see that Lithium creates the Tinfoil folder within the Switch folder to store all necessary additional files.

This folder then displays itself within the HomeBrew menu.

Would it be possible to have the Tinfoil folder on the root of the card or an option to change the location for it within the settings? So that it doesn't display in the HomeBrew menu.

Not a huge thing, the software is amazing but thought I'd ask.

Thanks

it does that, because it shares the config files with tinfoil. SX doesnt like having two nro's in the same folder. You can fake this, by just hex editing the lithium nro to replace the string. Alternatively, you might be able to just move the lithium nro into the tinfoil dir.

delete anything related to hid mitm, including in /config/ delete /ftpd/, delete kosmos updater if you have it.

But why doesn't it work with these apps installed? There just on the SD card?

They are used as a fingerprint to detect kosmos, kosmos does not work with tinfoil. I will post a kosmos uninstaller tonight to fix the issue for users experiencing problems.

Ok so booting clean fusee atmosphere without hekate or kosmos it should work? Is there a way to download 1.5.5 again because that one worked as read above.

Why don' t work with kosmos?

Btw thx for this awesome app.
Because you cannot apply ACID patches with Kosmos/Hekate meaning .XCI files installed with blawar's tool will never work so rather than deal with people who struggle to install .XCI files with a certain pack, just cut out support for the problem pack entirely. Or at least that is why I think he is doing it.

Correct, I spoke with tomger about working out a solution last month, however an agreement could not be reached unfortunately.

Also, it is more than just XCI's that do not work on kosmos.

I just did a stealth update to 1.56 that has a built in kosmos uninstaller. This makes it painless to delete kosmos and continue to lithium / tinfoil.

Two examples of really antisocial programming, hardcoded paths are shitty, and if you can't detect what CFW is running without resorting to checking for files on the SD card then don't bother, you don't get to dictate what files users are allowed just because you've developed yet another beef with yet another dev. Displaying a warning is one thing but refusing to run and insisting on removing someone else's files is childish af.

Also, it is more than just XCI's that do not work on kosmos.

What else doesn't work properly on Kosmos out of curiosity? I know XCI installation, but i've used Tinfoil exclusively and have had no issues personally with both my Kosmos switch and Vanilla Atmosphere switch.

Just seeking knowledge :)
