so, you didn't even bother going to the TINFOIL. IO website to look at the lithium download? where you know, you'd also see the latest v1.55 tinfoil for download? as well as screen shots of the app?
I went to the Lithium GitHub and there weren't any screenshots in the readme, I went to the OP of this thread and there was just a broken image, that's why I asked in the first place. It's not like I didn't look.
It's literally the first thing you this thread. Go back to page one.
The image is broken, that's why I asked. I didn't get a clear answer though. It sounded like this did not have a GUI which it apparently does. Looks pretty good too, I guess this is what SX stole their GUI from?

I think he might mean SX Installer? Otherwise I have no idea what he's talking about.
Title installers on the Switch cause a lot of confusion, so hopefully I can help clear out that with this post.
Basically speaking, there are (more than) a few floating around and the most popular are:

Adubbz's Tinfoil (the text only one and first public open source title installer, aka the one you're talking about)
Blawar's Tinfoil (previously called DZ, the one SX Installer is based on)
SX Installer (Self explainatory)
Lithium (Slimmed down version of Blawar's Tinfoil)
Goldleaf (based on Xortroll's fork of Adubbz's Tinfoil, also has a GUI)

There's been a lot of scene drama about various installers, naming and stuff so I'll not touch any of that, however keep in mind that in the above list the only currently unsupported one is Adubbz's Tinfoil (however some people still like to use an old version with added USB install support due to it being remarkably stable for being a WIP version).

Is there any nut alternative for lithium? I want to do only network transfer.

NUT network and USB transfers work with both balwar's tinfoil and lithium.

if anyone has trouble with the python based NUT then download the v1.2 NUT.exe - which is a compiled python version of the program for windows - just run it, click the folder selector where your NSP and XCI files are and then they're ready for network or USB transfer from the PC to the switch.

Yea i understand what you mean, but i am spoilt by NS-Usbloader for the simple ui and drag and drog. Nut.exe works for me was just looking for something else. Cool! Thanks!

Blawar gave the source code for tinfoil to SX for them to use / customise. It's about time that SX installer had an update as there have been a heap of stability and optimisation updates to tinfoil / lithium that could be updated over the older sx installer v1.52 release.

Yeah, the only thing that is keeping me on sx installer is the usbhdd installation, could use those sweet updates too

yeah I tried ns-usbloader for a while but personally I found nut.exe and blawar's tinfoil a lot easier to use.

I just click the NUT.EXE file and it auto scans the folder with my NSPs, then I run blawar's tinfoil on the switch and it sees all new files as well as telling me if there are new updates or dlc to install for titles I already have installed.

you can queue installable titles with tinfoil, as well as choose to install all the DLC and updates at the same time as the base game.. saves a lot of hassle.

Thanks, that clears it up nicely. At least until a month from now when 3 more nsp installers show up with new names
I've only tried the original Tinfoil, didn't realize the difference between them was so big. I guess the best one to use would be blawar's Tinfoil, or this, since they are similar. I check my nsps beforehand with NX Game Info (and NXVerify as well to check that nothing is corrupted) which tells me if the nsps are using unsigned code, so I don't have to worry about that.

also interesting - goldleaf worked with the broken update because goldleaf ignores the cert and uses it’s own, which is actually kind of bad

new nut had a brief bug where the cert was truncated Blawar has fixed it.

My list of games are not showing up when I go to usb under file browser. I installed the drivers and ran the compiled nut. Any tips?
