So I updated one of my switches to Kosmos 11.10.2 (Firmware 6.2.0 AMS 0.8.4) (deleted /atmosphere, /bootloader, /modules beforehand) and copied all the files over. The switch booted perfectly fine into the OS. I go into the homebrew menu and select "Reboot to Payload" and once it reboots, it seems as if it is bricked.

fusee-loader.py is not detecting the device. I plug it into the dock and the green light flashes once and that's it.

Any thoughts? I do have a NAND backup.

EDIT
well, about an hour of me freaking the crap out and about 10 minutes after writing this post and searching, I saw a random post about holding down the power button for 15 seconds (that's all the said, no reason why) and apparently that did the trick to loading into RCM. Can someone please explain to me why that is so? Also, I will no longer be using the "Reboot to Payload" homebrew in HBL :P

Last edited by Agent Moose,
15 min is to force the switch to completely power down. Seems like somehow the switch got stuck while rebooting and didn't quite make it into rcm. Would try again with a fresh set of files on your SD card as things like this are usually caused by messed up files

Holding the power button down is a hardware hotkey to force the system to completely power down. Kind of like a failsafe. Doing this on the switch will shut down the system and allow you to boot up as normal again (Or RCM).

Reboot to payload was also kind of glitchy for me when I select it then inject sx os it crashes my switch. Held the power button for 10 secs then inject sx os again then it worked.

Holding the switch power button is like holding your computers power button to force a shutdown, same thing. Except the switch will reboot into RCM if you have autorcm on
