I'm running firmware 6.2.0 and am using a FAT32 MicroSD card. any time i try to load an N64 rom, it crashes my switch! i tested NES and SNES and they work fine. I even went as far as installing Lakka and N64 plays on Lakka! I am using SXOS but after reading that that may be the issue, i formatted my SD and tried using atmosphere instead and with no luck, it still crashed. any help or advice? do i need to update my switch firmware? I'm a noob about all of this stuff! if you need any details i'll do my best to provide them, thank you!!!

Same thing here on 6.2 Hekate Atmo - Only n64 crashes and all other systems load. Have to power down.

The only supported method to launch mupen64plus-next is this:
(go to the thread: use-atmosphere-to-access-full-ram-with-homebrews-without-nsp.521240 as I don't have enough privileges atm)

The thread is made by a retroNX dev.

Follow the guide. (Or, if you care about mods especially)
Currently you should use Hekate to boot Atmospère as the newest version has "svcControlCodeMemory" patches. Those are currently not present in fusee-primary but will be soon.

Other methods can work but are not supported. Devs can't help you and savedata corruption can occur.

I know that they are merged but not released by now.
The latest release was 24 days ago and you can't tell anyone they should "just build it" themselves.

It's weird that the retroarch nsp from early this month works fine

It certainly can work but as I stated the devs don't support it. M4 can't even get the nsp to work.
With many people not having sigpatches it is understandable that this is the only supported method

So i followed the guide and running the newer released atmosphere. Edited the load.ini for title and app. Using retroarch to play n64 games and frames are horrid

get a current build from m4's twitter.
The nighly build misses some important patches.
Also remove your old config.

you need a way to use full nsp power of the Switch
all options you have:
Homebrew Launcher NSP (BANNING 100%) (not recommend aslong as you are not banned)
SX OS R Button HBL Injection: press R on launching Title (does not ban and maybe you can farm hours in your favourite game by doing it on the game)
Atmosphere editing config (not recommend cuz its a long way and no tutorial but dont ban too)
