Just want to be sure that I understand everything, it is not possible to access CFW or downgrade at all using emunand or any other methods if you have no backups and you are on 6.2.0 (and you cannot use backups from other switches) ? Hence my console is more or less locked in its original pre sx pro state until they patch sx os?

Well, I'm awaiting until switch's EOL (or at least something like when the 10.7 3ds exploit released) to hack it, so I'll gladly wait and update.

For everyone else that wants hacks right now do as it's always recommended and do not update, simple as that

You should add a button to the right joycon so when it’s pressed it shorts pin 1 and 10

I will lose warranty, and my joycons have some issues, before warranty expires i will send them to nintendo, anyway i read newer firmwares can detect mods on the joycons, i dont like that metod.

If I’m not planning on using any online features (not even on my WiFi network) are there any implications of this 6.2 release for me? It sounds like tinfoil removes the firmware check for NSP’s it installs, so if I just keep it on 6.1 forever will I be fine?

If the new games or updates/DLC use the new keys tinfoil can’t help with that. You may be fine for awhile but not forever. Key issues aside if software has dependentcies on the new firmware tinfoil can help with that either. Tinfoil bypasses the firmware check but doesn’t fix anything.

Once games are encrypted/deveveloped with a newly updated, 6.2+ locked SDK, the games will no longer even run on <6.2 firmware as they'd be missing tools/calls/updated/dependencies changes.

The ignore firmware tool only works because there's been no major developer tool changes, once that is no longer the case then the tool becomes useless.

Sorry if I still ask this but so I can update my sysnand and play online and I will be still able to boot emunand and play all the stuff in there? Are we sure, someone have tested this? Want to play some paladins and the new warframe but won't let me do it if I don't update.

It does, but sleep mode doesn't work on 6.2 emunand, other than that its fine.

I'm pretty fine with a perfectly working 6.2 ofw and 6.1 emunand without sleep mode. Sx dongle is very handy.

It all boots the same if newer firmware could detect mods it would flag the jig too. Joycon wouldn’t show unless you press the button
