Hi i recently purchased a Nintendo Switch (this month to be exact) and i wanted to install Homebrew on it and it seems every time i try to upload the payload it doesn't show the menu where i can backup files ect. to upload it i used a webtool and tegraRCMSmash both programs see that the switch is in fact in RCM mode but regardless of it id doesn't show the menu and i have no idea why.

--List of What i tried--
1.Swapping USB-C cable
2.Paper Clip method of entering RCM
3.Followed instructions from several sources

--Additional Information--
1.Nintendo Switch Firmware: 5.1.0
2.Using 256GB SD Card
2.Windows 7 OS 64-Bit

If there isn't a version of Homebrew supporting the switch i purchased or there is a way fixing i would like to know, Thank you. -Xecuter04

You have a realy nice name.
To help you I need to know which payload you are using. Have you tried sxos? Its the best and userfriendly cfw and the only one with emunand and xci loading.

1. Tell us your first 8 digits and letter of your serial number.
2. The screen stays black or just the backup menu does not show up?

Because you probably have ipatched switch.

Sounds like you got an ipatched Switch. There are currently no exploits publicly available. We can let you know if you're lucky (or not). What's the first 8 characters of SN#

Was your system new or used? Because if it was brand new than you got yourself an ipatched unit which is unhackable FOR THE MOMENT

But you can keep your switch

True. Team xecuter will steal from the open source scene again.
Stop the bullsh!t propaganda, please.

(Also, SX users, don't get triggered. It is just a bullsh!t response to a bullsh!t argument.)

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

Quick question is there any other way? Or do i have to wait till someone releases a version able to work with my system? -Xecuter04

You might be waiting for a long time. The firmware version is not what was exploited, it was recovery mode that was, allowing for payloads to be pushed.

You mean they will steal from the open source options again. Stop the bullshit propaganda, everyone knows you are nothing more than a shill for TX and you never say anything even remotely useful
