by getting NSP and installing itoke so i cant update via the switch because iam banned so how do i update xci games ?
you're not supposed to download the games in NSP format. Just download the updates in NSP Format and install these. Updates still need to be installed to either SD or NAND either way.but nsp games dont play via external hdd they only install on internel mem or sd card !
that why i want to use xci games
Updates and DLCs also don't load from SD card. They have to be installed.but nsp games dont play via external hdd they only install on internel mem or sd card !

Updates and DCLs have to be installed unlike XCIs, which can be directly loaded. And you can play games without updating them (if the switch allows it).oh so updates cant be on external hdd anyway ? can i play games with out updating ?
maybe in the future its possible to put updates on external hdd
Question: Do you need 2TBs of games at the same time? Nope. Max like 10 games at the same time.i found 2tb of nsp games but nobody has 2tb sd card lol
have not tried it yet but I did read somewhere on this site that you can use xci builder or NUT BC to build a xci with the update in it, by first extracting the nsp update to nca's and the xci to nca's and then build a xci from them.. maybe someone can confirm this ?
You can't load an update or DLC as an .XCI, only .NSP can do this hence why its superior. The only ways to update a .XCI without .NSP is by going online with your console.have not tried it yet but I did read somewhere on this site that you can use xci builder or NUT BC to build a xci with the update in it, by first extracting the nsp update to nca's and the xci to nca's and then build a xci from them.. maybe someone can confirm this ?
what he was suggesting was to bundle the NCAs for the updates into the XCI file. I think it's possible, just like how latest zelda cart already has 1.5.0 update in it, but don't know how to do thatYou can't load an update or DLC as an .XCI, only .NSP can do this hence why its superior. I was thinking that was how you can make your own version of the rev001/rev002 carts (e.g. Super Mario Odyssey rev001 carts/XCI have the v1.1 update built-in, and the rev002 carts have v1.2 built-in [I don't think XCIs for rev002 exist yet]).have not tried it yet but I did read somewhere on this site that you can use xci builder or NUT BC to build a xci with the update in it, by first extracting the nsp update to nca's and the xci to nca's and then build a xci from them.. maybe someone can confirm this ?
Not posible, i tried like a MILLION TIMES to do that with no luck.

But then...
...unless he was doing something wrong (or there is an extra step you have to do), then I guess only Nintendo can do that (include updates in carts).
And I really thought including the update NCAs in the rebuilt XCI would work too...
not related to the topic, but there is[I don't think XCIs for rev002 exist yet]).
But you've successfully built working a XCI from an NSP-only game, right?Yeah most likely I am doing something wrong! But nobody here wants to help with that :/ I tried with layeredFS and XCI Builder but I gave up!
Oh really? My only source of release info is NSWDBnot related to the topic, but there is
