I have a quick few questions, and for some preface, I do have CBHC, and I install all of my games/dlc from Wii U USB Helper

I'm trying to install some DLC for Smash 4, and I already own some of the DLC, but not all of it. If I use WUP Installer GX2 to directly install the rest of the DLC for smash 4 to my NAND, is there a chance of bricking? If I install it to a USB Storage device, will I have a chance of bricking?

What are the chances of bricking using WUP Installer GX 2 to install material?

Keep in mind, all of my games/dlc downloads are coming from Wii U USB Helper.

afaik, all dlc for smash is governed by the same ticket or is bundled together, so my guess is no.

btw, I'm in the same boat as you. I bought most of the dlc, but I'd like the rest. however, what I've said is based on my own research on the subject.

OK interesting. I hope I get to learn more soon about this as well. Thank you!
It feels like there's a lot of things that haven't been tested

I'm just remembering from the title key site. it has the tickets divided, and I seem to recall only one ticket for smash's dlc. there's a separate ticket for each region based on title id which comes after the ticket type prefix. you can find some of this information out on wii u's wiki: http://wiiubrew.org/wiki/Title_database
But since I already have some of the DLC installed onto my system (only one character), does that put me at risk since I would try to install over that piece of DLC with the pirated DLC from WII U USB Helper? Do I need to uninstall real purchased DLC before trying to install the pirated DLC? Sorry for the nooby questions!

no, installing a fake ticket over a real one is possible. it will be saved to the same ticket bucket. they'll be on top of each other. this won't matter if you're using cbhc. afaik, whichever ticket is first is what's given dominance over whether the content works on ofw. this doesn't matter with cfw.

OK Cool thanks! So you've tested this in someway I'm presuming?
Also would you recommended installing DLC (which requries CFW) onto NAND or to USB?

I've not tested a partial dlc, no. however, a fake ticket and a legit ticket can exist at the same time. where you install it it shouldn't matter. dlc tickets will be on the slc in the same location which is the internal flash. I assume dlc itself is in the same location on the NAND as the game - the mlc.

Wow, that's really interesting. I'll think about doing this. I'm not really sure whats the worse that could happen, but I'm gonna go with what you were guessing which was "no [nothing could happen]." Of course I take all responsibility if anything does happen to my console.

most likely the worst that could happen is the dlc not working. deleting tickets is in my tutorial, so you can do that if something goes wrong. if the game doesn't boot for some reason, you can always delete it and redownload.

OK cool! I have one more question.

If I install content, such as LoZ: Breath of the Wild from Wii U USB Loader using WUP Installer into NAND or USB Storage, is there any chance of bricking? I'd figure no, unless for some reason my Wii U loses power mid-installation, but it's just something I'm wondering about.
