most likely it's because either you don't have hactool.exe or keys.txt in proper path

I was thinking there is a test for missing components?

@Largooo Sure is Developers job. But if we (the Community) can help we should and i think you have these files x times on your HD ;-)
I have hactool... 16 times on mine.

They do a great job in their free time. Building such a big tool is hard work!

not sure about that but I believe that those zip files are packaged manually so there's a chance that he missed some files when creating the zip files

Thanks for the app it's great. Would it be possible for a future release to be able to filter by genre; RPG, Sport, Racing, Fighting, shoot-em-up, etc etc?? That would be handy as I'm doing all fighting games on one memory card, all Lego games on another, first person shooters on another and so on and would make it easier to organise for people who like to do it this way.

Thanks for reading. :-)

well i am a simple tester
i always delete precedent release when i test new release to prevent conflit from older version because files change
am not supposed to know if some files are missing intentionnaly or not
by the way some tools used by first release of switch backup manager are not use anymore

most simple users wont know why there are missing files and where to find them

it take 30sec to add missing files to the archive and update the package on github

Thanks a lot for this app gibaBR. I had to delete nstoolmod from 1.09 because I'm using Windows 7, but the scraping was so slow. It's faster now that I updated the app.

yes you do this job on your freetime
but that's not the problem

just, if you want that we test your apps its your job to provide us a fonctionnal package

If you just asked politely I would have fixed the package at no time. I did many things users asked for, no problem. But the way you demanded as if I was your employee was not nice. That's why I did not update the packege.
If you don't want to use the software (or test it), please, don't.
I'm doing it for self learning a new programming language, practicing my english and helping a community that gives me many great software.

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

I tried this. And there is no Filter option for category in the filter drop-down. :-( (I'm using version: 1.1.0)

It was put there on v1.1.1, if I'm not wrong.

oh and tell us to find the file by ourself is not consider us as to be your employee ?
damn man look yourself in the mirror

but anyway your progamming method are not good
many people tell you to you provide same schem for nsp files as xci files but you dont
tools ands option are all different place in the apps
its not ergonomic and some bugs ar still there
you focus on wrong priority
you need to be methodic

I never thought about that. Maybe I could use it to scan installed NSP files on SD card? I'll take a look when I have some time.
As far as I know you need the Keys from the Switch....(Nand BackUp...)
I didn't find an easy way to identify the files. ;-)
I think that could be very complicated.
Wish you luck.

Keys could be added by the end user in a text file. Just like with the keys.txt file. Feature could be implemented with a template console_key.txt (for example) and end user inputs them into the template. Should be possible. There are plenty of ways for people to get their console keys. :-)

This is a very usefull application. It even runs great when loaded from a network share path, making it very portable. You can run if from the same sd card used for installing switch games. it also scans the files fast over the network even when using 54mb wireless network cards. Tested on a netbook running windows 7 ultimate lol. Now to test xp lol

I will be using this program since most of my switch roms are on my server.

We just need a network installer running on the switch then no need to copy roms to the sd card

I didn't say it's not possible. ;-)
But it's difficult for many users and the code is also not so easy.
For a Example how to get the infos you can take a look at SwitchSDTool
