Hello. My SX Pro package took an unexpected turn, and is arriving today instead of tomorrow. I just wanted to make sure I have my geese in a column before crossing over to the other side. This forum has taught me a lot over the past week, and I have some final questions:

1. I'm on the latest firmware. Does this mean I have exFAT support?

2. Should I backup my nand before doing anything? If so, could someone direct me to the best guide for doing this, starting from a clean OFW Switch? I've found a few guides/videos from Google, but I dunno...it seems a little intimidating and would feel more comfortable with a recommended guide.

3. I just want to play downloaded backups for now. No CDN stuff until I get banned. Could someone give me a brief step-by-step sequence of the necessary steps to get going? (Ex: 1. Install SX OS 2. Install Homebrew.....etc.)

Thanks in advance for the help!

exFAT support will activate when you insert sdxc in your switch. you should use CDN because you can download updates and DLC for your xci/nsp games so you can keep your system offline forever.

I advise you to download all updates and DLC from cdnsp, you can find it on youtube. it always has the latest updates and DLC.

Thanks for the prompt reply. I guess I meant I don't want to use CDNSP/FreeshopNX, and would rather download backups on my computer and manually put them on the SD card. What exactly is CDN btw? I think I may be a bit confused, lol.

CDN downloads from Nintendo servers. SX OS has .xci support so you'll be able to download a game in xci format and copy/paste to your memory card then play. CDN downloads .nsp files that you'll have to copy to memory card then install using the built in nsp installer. Better with nsp as yku can install updates and dlc but higher ban risk.

I used this guide to do my backup. I noticed it differed slightly in that there are two steps for the actual backup process, one for rawnand and one for boot0/1.

Thank you for this. Since I will be using the SX Pro, can I simply go directly to the "Making a backup" section after SX OS is installed and proceed from there?

if you dont want to be banned, 1) erase all conections of wifi, 2) do a nand backup with hekate (rawnand + boot 1 and boot2) 3) active your licence via offline, 4) stay offline and play everithing you want, 5 ) if you want to play online do againg a backup of that hacked nand and after restore the"cleand nand" (the fisrts that you did). i am not banned and iam doing this so is the safest way but it dosent garantice that you wont be banned.
