Gaming this is drive error?

i've to last check on my C drive and I see ''21 gb free space'' and then after 7 days I look at the free space, only ''13.7gb'' omg! I'm so confused.
I remember, in last 7 days I've download many games, but I put it on drive H, not in C [system]. I don't understand now. and I have to try with disk checking, but he said: no errors were found. can I solve my problem?

There may be temporary files stored on your drive. Run Disk Cleanup to find these unnecessary files and free up some space.

It’s not a drive error, just a matter of where stuff is stored (either temporarily when downloading or permanently depending on configuration).

Use disk cleanup, clear cache, do all that. Not a drive error, just what you get for using Windows.

yes, i've do all of your suggestion before i make this thread, and windows give me an alert ''drive error, click restart to fix drive error'' and then i restart my laptop but dosent fix the problem. but please watch at my video first:

Check the HDD with Windows Shell (not PowerShell) and issue the command as written:

chkdsk c: /f /r

Depending on the capacity of your drive it will take a while to finish. The above command will check for problems on the file system and search for damaged sectors on the hard drive, and try to move data that's stored there, and mark those as unuseable.

There are many other options too.

Because Windows Updates and System Protection (System Restore) always build a lot of GB everyday.

Turn Windows updates off and reduce System Restore (click on Configure button) to 3% from default setting (about create 300 MB to 1.5 GB per week or two weeks.

Also clear all cache, internet cookies, cache, etc and other junk files to free up hard drive.

Window Washer and CCleaner would help to remove junk files that build up space on hard drive.

If you not happy with your small hard drive, then you can upgrade to 1 TB or bigger.

My hard drives are almost full. When I have time I will remove my old 1 TB to replace into 6 TB or bigger to extend more storage for a lot of games, movies, programs, etc. I took space from C to make B for hybrid storage on different way. OS do not need bigger hard drive, if what OS crash, mess up by infect files then we have to format C only then reinstall operating system in same way.

I love 6 TB so much because storage is get cheap on Newegg like about between 140 to 200 bucks! It would last many years for more games to store on it and it's future proof.

I have Western Digital Blue 6 TB internal hard drive and two 6 TB external drive have same kind of hard drive. Western Digital is best ever I own them and very solid quality.

Thx, i think i would buy a new 6 tb drive too. I have only 500 gb hard drive but, i think we can count windows update data from properties. But now like my videos above, i loose some of my disk space (if you very very pay attention to my videos) my system protection is set to off, and i was clean all of my junk files, internet chace and anything. So....
1. Windows tell me if my drive got an error but windows cant fix it by itself.
2. someday my drive got an error like this, and back to normal again.

I dont understand how to fix this problem. And i have dual booting wi dows 10 and 7. But in 7 never got an error like this.

Welcome anytime. I agree with you. Not your fault. It's Microsoft fault due to Windows 10 had cause a lot of problems to all people who experience something wrong with them. I have no idea how to fix Windows 10 problems, but many people are upset about Windows 10 is unstable operating system and buggy updates that mess up system files. I think you should use Windows 7 instead.

I still use Windows 7 Professional 64 Bit for 5 years and never have any problems so far. Still very solid operating system similar like Windows XP.

I heard new operating system name is ReactOS (like clone of Windows all versions in one) still working with all Windows XP, Vista, 7, 8 and 10 games and programs, but still in Beta I think. Team of ReactOS said that Microsoft remove some important files in Windows 10 that Microsoft don't let anyone know. Microsoft is very wrong. I guess many people would make switch to ReactOS instead from Windows 10 in near future when full version release out later. ReactOS company is location in Germany, Europe. I still wait on news about ReactOS and when it will release out. It would be big excite news for us and people.
