Hacking Question How do i update my nintendo switch game?

So I'm trying to get to edit my BOTW save. Switch is on 3.0.0 and my current BOTWv is 1.3. I made my switch not automatically connect to the internet then I turned my switch off then back on then press - then update from internet and its just telling me i need to update my console =[ Please do help

Unless you update, Nintendo won't allow you to download off their server.
You would probably need someone's Switch with the update to transfer their files to yours.
I'm currently updating my first Switch as I type this. The second one is on fw 3.0 so I have green light now.

I have a second switch on current firmware, but I really don't want to do any hackery to it. I don't wanna get banned.

Then you're good to go. If I'm correct the Switch puts your game updates on the SD card if there is one inserted. Just download that and transfer over to your other Switch. However you might want to look up the method.

How about you try to simply copy the folder with the update and use it on your version 3.

Sorry I don't know. But if you have an extra SD card lying around, judt format it and install only the update to the game you want on it and try using it on the other console. If that works, you can back it up as the dlc to that game.
