Hello,

I was in the process following this guide and at 5:27 when I clicked the selected option, I stumbled upon the following message:

An error has occurred:

Failed to get the CTRNAND FIRM.

Press any button to shutdown

I've looked into the error message a little but can't seem to find much info in regards to bricked systems.

Any suggestions would be super helpful!

Info regarding my 3DS:

O3DS XL
Bricked by: Installing N3DS FW
Flashcart: R4i Gold 3DS Plus

How did you brick the console? (Also never use video guides)

Ah well, then your NAND may still be in one piece. You better ask in the homebrew discord server. People may be able to help you there.

If I redo the NTRProcess up to section IV, I have access to the Luma Config Menu, also i have no idea what Luma Chainloader is

Chainloader is what show up when you hold start while pressing the power button, the luma config menu is what show up if you hold down select during powering on, what you can try to do is CTR Transfer if you have Luma set up correctly.

In order to do CTR Transfer, I'll need the luma config to show up? When is it appropriate?

Problem is your NAND , if you have B9S and Luma set up correctly then you are able to access the Luma Chainloader to load up GodMode9 to do a CTRNand Transfer to other firmware like 9.2.0-20U, or 11.5.0-38U. In the future dont follow video guide to set up CFW , always follow guides like https://3ds.hacks.guide/

I was in the process of completing the guide: https://3ds.hacks.guide/ctrtransfer and at Section 2 of Step 19 when I reboot my device it still prompts me with the same error. Should this happen? What I do next?

Did it goes to 3ds initial set up or did it still give you the error message?
what do you mean initial setup? When it rebooted it prompted me with the error message.

I turn on the 3DS and its the same error.

With the CTRTransfer am I installing a SFW into the root of the 3DS?

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

Actually its a different error:

An error has occurred:

Failed to mount CTRNAND

Press any button to shutdown

When you successful do a CTR NAND transfer you can successfully boot into the NAND, which one you try? 11.5? there is the other 9.2.0-20U u can try.

Alright! I did the 11.5 so I guess i'll try the 9.20 now

So I redid the ntrboot process and its working now. Should I downgrade my system using CTR Nand Transfer or can I now just install luma/b9s on 11.5?

Since you are on CFW, you can just do a normal system update to 11.6.0-39U, no need to stay on lower firmware, keep the NTRboot cart on hand incase you need to install CFW again, and do a sysnand backup.

So when I open settings my FW is the following: Sys 11.5.0-38U , does that that mean im on CFW?
