I guess the main reason to have an emuNAND is to be able to update it while keeping the lower firmware on the regular NAND for easier access to Atmosphere. I don't know if a coldboot is possible in 5.0.2, but if it were, it might be made more difficult to achieve in later firmwares. So keeping your regular NAND on a lower firmware does have its advantages.

Of course, the lower your firmware in the first place, the better.

SysNAND should always be up to date if you still want to be able to update your games or use the nintendont online services which most probably do not want to do without.

No, because there might be a software exploit you can take advantage of in a lower firmware. It's emuNAND that you would want to keep updated.

But in this case I risk a ban if I go online with the EmuNAND.
What? How will going online in sysNAND help? I don't think you understand that bans are going to be per console and it will affect sysNAND and emuNAND equally (if you get banned in one, you're banned everywhere). Having emuNAND did not help during the 3DS banwave.

As well as what Quantum said, using sysNAND doesn't make it any less detectable. It's the CFW that would be detected, not the fact it's a emuNAND.
I think he's talking about going online with (untouched) sysnand without cfw.

That would prevent bans if he'll never ever goes online with his cfw-emunand

U go online only with the unmodified sysNAND which you keep always up to date to use the nintendont services and with the CFW-emuNAND, for all the homebrew stuff, you always stay offline. In this case there is no chance that nintendont will ever detect any of your modifications, because they all are on your offline emuNAND.

As I said. I played for over 2 Years Pokemon online with CFW. You just have to behave and not cheat like a madman.
Bans were out for playing SuMo before the release date :)
So what Im saying is, if they want to ban, they will ban very well. You can rest assured. It's not like they are some beginner indie devs who don't know their stuff.

This will work if the solution is one like browserhax on 3DS, where nothing is installed on your console. If it is like A9LH or B9S, there is stuff installed on your console and it won't matter which one you go online with.

We're using Fusee Gelee as entrypoint.
Nothing is installed. Thats the reason why we'll need to inject the payload on every cold boot.

I think as long as your sysNAND is untouched and you don't forget to remove your CFW-emuNAND SD card before booting into sysNAND/unmodified Horizon, you are 100% safe.
For this purpose a modchip would be greate that goes on every coldboot into RCM, injects some payload which then checks whether there is an inserted SD card that has a bootable cfw/emunand image/partition and only if it is not the case lets you boot into Horizon/sysNAND.

HONESTLY can't access to Eshop is really annoying and i really wish to get Xenoblade 2's season pass and Golf story(a switc's exclusive).
