Hardware replace front panel RVL 001 to panel RVL 101

Hello , i recently got a RVL 001 (with gamecube port).
Can i replace the front panel on my wii (RVL-001) to panel RVL-101 (2011 wii model) ?
Will it work properly?

I'm pretty sure the front panels on both RVL-001 and RVL-101 are identical, except for the printing of the labels.

Thanks, and what about the DVD drive .
My RVL-001 DVD seem to not read any disk, if i replace it with the one on the RVL-101 this will work ok (and also will read gamecube disk)?

I am not sure about the GameCube-Disks, but it should work in general.

this is strange, i searched a lot, and did not find the answer if the RVL-101's drive has the ability to read gamecube games.
Has anyone tried and checked?

Maybe you should find out if the RVL-101 devices have the same hard drive.
