This started a couple of weeks ago, shortly after the origin update (Which completely redid the story and content up to level 90).

They also added in the 2 new sub-classes for Lancer: Dragoon and Impaler, as well as the new epic crafting system that has unique epics one can craft that have very effect on top of a good bit of damage (and they take about a month to craft).

Dragoon
Impaler

The events include a ton of free item, including rare clone avatar pieces, protection ticket, demon invites, and many other things.

I loved this game until I got to the point where you needed to get Epic items. Then I went fuck this game. Too much grinding for bullshit rng. But I think lancer was the class I used..so that's cool. :O

Well epics are pretty easy to come by these days. I haven't even payed a cent and I have an epic in every slot, and I nearly have the best current set of epics before raids.

Not to mention the new level 90 epics, even the non-set pieces, are pretty powerful, and there are legendary (grindable sets you get from quests) to supplement your character until you get those.

On top of this there are also a lot of system not to easily get demon invitations and gold now as well.

Not to say it isn't still grindy, because it is a bit, but it's not nearly as bad as it was even a year or two ago.
