It's just stupid that all of this drama could have been avoided by extending an olive branch and not being dumb. Like he prevented nothing. I will still view the discord and occasionally post maybe but now he has no control. Doing this only made me resentful of the team I was literally going on there to congratulate SciresM and tell him I liked his write-up.

I kinda understand your feelings. Sadly I can't know if what you said is true or there is something else behind your ban.
But, if it is true, you are right imho. A perm ban is too much.

Well for anyone who is interested I got on the Discord one night to talk and see if any work was being done on my firmware 3.0.1 at the time. They essentially didn't help me much and got angry because I assume I asked a question. They get all the time. I asked because I was curious if there was any reason not to update. At that time, no work was being done on post 3.0 to my knowledge and I have been dying for the BoTW DLC. Then I asked if they had any timeline on getting backups to work (which I didn't know was a no-no). I think I asked because that was around the time they started dumping the first game dumps. Either way, I apologized and was instantly banned. I couldn't appeal or anything. Then I joined today and asked if I could b unbanned and I stated why I was banned and gave them my old username so they could check into it. Same thing instabanned.

You claim that you didn't know it was a no-no. Except that in the rules you were required to read and acknowledge, it states: "Absolutely no piracy. There is a zero-tolerance policy and we will enforce this strictly and swiftly."

That is the one zero-tolerance thing on our server, for legal reasons (not moral reasons) and you violated it. You then came back under an alt today, and rather than messaging a mod to discuss this, you acknowledged the rules a second time. The rules that include "Trying to evade, look for loopholes, or stay borderline within the rules will be treated as breaking them." You may have had a chance before you did that. You definitely do not have one now.

they probably got mad because you asked a question about a free service that they are doing. either way, you get one kick before the ban. The drama is now here because you posted it here.

How was I supposed to message you. I don't know how to use Discord, don't have a Twitter, and toy knowledge don't know how to PM someone on Discord without being in the same server. It doesn't matter now if you will let me in. And I will admit it was stupid not to read the rules but a quick "okay don't do it again" would have sufficed.
