Thanks!
Can I update the HBL to Rosalina 2.0? Or should I delete everything and install the latest one via ninjhax?
I'd update the HBL to 2.0 and then go for b9s. I've never installed cfw through this method recently but I always update things like that before any new things I do to my 3ds.

Sure, I got that. But my question was on "HOW" can I update my HBL. Sorry for misunderstanding.

Trying to download Pokemon from Freeshop. My internet speed is fine, but Freeshop is extremely slow (30-50 kb/s).

Is there any other way to get the exact same .cia from Freeshop and then install it manually? I know about that iso site and others, but i would like to have the same cia from Freeshop just in case.

You could use FunkeyCIA

3)As you will be injecting your emuNAND into your sysNAND, you will be essentially using the same NAND image.

4) If you are currently using your GW red card for games, then yes, if you are going to move to Luma, then you have to move the save from the red card to the CIA version, as luma only supports CIA games.
thanks for the replies.

just want a precision on the quoted part :
3)
you said I'll be essentially "using the same NAND", do you mean "if not unlinked" ? I still think it's not the same NAND even if linked, as some games store data in NAND, not on SD.
I thought it was stored on emuNAND and I had to backup from emuNAND (for theatrythme game) and restore it on sysNAND, or is the save data stored on SD in the 3DS folder?
I might have to check if the data is already present in my sysNAND.

4)
I know I'll have to use cia "if" I want to play them.
But my question was more like this :
the tutorial says to first install the cia game on emuNAND, then extract the .3DS savegame, then inject into cia game, and test it there.
I don't want to play them right away, I already completed them. I just want to backup my savegames on computer.
do I really need to install cia FIRST for the backup program to work, or it's only in case I want to play and restore them right away?

I might want to install the cia on sysNAND instead of emuNAND. backup gateway from emuNAND, but restore to cia on sysNAND. do I still need to install the same cia to emuNAND if I don't plan to play it there?

Hi.
I never got how I would proceed if I wanted a thread name changed or the thread closed/ deleted? Do I PM an admin, or what?

Thanks in advance.

I have 2 N3DS;
1st one was on FW 11.3 with soundhax and I managed to get GodMod9 on it.
2nd one on FW 11.6.0.39E with ninjhax. Here comes the problem. When I try to run udsploit, it freezes all the time. And when I try to run safehax, it says: "Firmware Version not supported".
What can I do? Any way around?

I don't really know, try starting fresh with a new reset of the software I guess.

You can use https://3ds.guide/installing-boot9strap-(dsiware) if you don't mind having the data on it deleted. Otherwise you'll need to use https://3ds.guide/ntrboot udsploit doesn't work above 11.4

Ok, so.. I need some help.

I have an old 3ds XL and I hacked it myself following 3ds guide, been using it for months with no problem, yada yada.
Then yesterday I went to make space for US/UM on my SD card and since I had a lot of crap and I was really sleepy and just wanted to make space quick so I could leave the game downloading while I slept, I decided to just delete things straight from the sd (incredibly dumb, I know). I did not make a back up of my SD since I though it wasn't necessary as I'm aware the 3DS is nearly impossible to brick noawadays, and I do have the obrigatory nand backups in case I did manage to brick.
So my dumb ass went and deleted the contents inside the title folder, located inside the Nintendo 3DS folder, as they were the heaviest in the SD so I figured they were virtual shop stuff or something.
Long story short, after I booted my 3ds again, my theme was gone and so did every homebrew I had. The 3DS itself still works, the dsi games I had (bomberman still work, all of the native apps are there. But every homebrew was changed into a black square with no title or anything, and when I tried to access them It gives me an error screen on the bottom screen said the game card was removed, and pressing any buttom reboots the console.

Luma is still there, as the power+select while booting the console brings me to the luma menu. But I have no idea what I'm supposed to do in this case, lol.
Everything else in the SD is still there, only the contents of that folder were deleted.

sys 11.6.0-32U, luma3ds v8. 1.1.

The only thing I found while searching was a tutorial incase you lost/corrupted your entire sd, but its for a9lh and I'm on boot9strap, so I have no idea where to start.
