ROM Hack Possibility of custom mega evolution?

Hello everyone!

I was messing on pokemon oras (or pokemon chaos ruby if you want the name of the rom hack) with mega evolution and I didn't got able to introduce new one for pokemon that don't have a second form (like volcanion --> shadow Volcanion). Is it possible to someone to show how it can be done?

I would really to know if it possible to make a pokemon mega evolve into another like Charmender --> Charizard or Charmender --> Empoleon

Yeah.
1. File swap primary pokemon with a pokemon with the default form of a pokemon that has a different form (excluding gender based ones, like Unfezant) that you won't miss, I will be using Darmanitan as an example. (This is 0/0/7 for XY or 0/0/8 for ORAS.)

2. Swap the mega you want with the alternate form of pokemon you are replacing, like Darmanitan Zen Mode.

3. Rebuild 0/0/7 or 8.

4. In Pk3DS, export the text files, and anywhere you see "Darmanitan" or whatever pokemon you swapped, replace with the primary pokemon's name.

Spoiler: Optional

Rename an item you don't care about, ex. protector, as a megastone, ex. Reshiramite.

In Pk3ds, change the stats of Darmanitan or whatever the original pokemon was to the stats of the pokemon you want to mega evolve.

Set the stats of the mega you want in the different form.

Change the evolutionary line to evolve into pokemon you want to mega evolve if it is one that evolves from something.

Match level up moves and egg moves and encounter areas.

Change the icon of the edited item. (Google how to do that.)

CRITICAL:

5. In the mega evolution tab, go to that pokemon with the different form, (It may have a different name if you changed it.)

6. Enable a new form.

7. Set item to whatever you want it to mega evolve with.

8. Set the form to the alternate mega form.

9. Rebuild.

10. Profit.

i tried swaping deerling with lugia and a differnd deerling form to shadow lugia but the voices are the deerling ones.
how do i change that,if possible?

Wow, another ping after a year of inactivity. You'll need to change the cry, but I don't now how to do that.

Switch the files of the pokemon you to have a mega form with a pokemon with an alternate form, like darmanitan standard and zen, and remember, this guide is for ORAS, the process should be similar in XY, SM, and USUM, but there are light differences.

Hello. I want to make a troll romhack i have done with changing the models for the mega evolution but fail to change the outcome where it says (so and so mega evolved into mega so and so). please give me an indepth guide of the name replacing and renaming the items.

You're asking the wrong person for in depth stuff XD But iirc, PK3DS is your friend for that.
