So i've been off the 3ds hacking scene for a few months and came back finding out boot9strap is a thing. The thing is my 3ds was banned during the Sun/Moon thing but im running A9LH + Luma cfw. So my question is, is it possible for me to update to boot9strap with a banned o3ds on 11.2?

its still possible and depending on the ban you got you might be able to unban yourself check the error code

Yes, A9LH/B9S have nothing to do with the consoles online functionality.

Did you remove your SD card with the firm.bin on it? Make sure the Luma firm.bin is still on your SD card.

If they are on the latest B9S now, it should be a boot.firm they are looking for to launch their 3ds system.
I have that on there, i still gives me the error

We are going to need a lot more info about what steps it completed and if there were any errors, and exactly what you did after you pressed Start after Luma settings.

I completed everything up to section 4 after the Luma part with press start to save and reboot, it rebooted and gave me "an exception occurred" and gave me dump code

Look up the button you need to hold to get back to that Luma menu, maybe you selected the wrong option (like auto boot emunand) by mistake

If you used an old B9S installer it may be incompatible with new Luma, maybe try an older Luma, that's all I can suggest.
