Will the SNESC also only have 300 MB, if the hardware is the same as the NESC...
Meaning you can't get all SNES games on it?

If you'd read this thread a bit, or know the average size of a (non)compressed ROM, you'd already know the answer...

By logical thinking I would say: they will not fit the SNESC

And sorry to ask for confirmation.... no need to be harch

You said the ones you want.. or are you going to play all of them? Seriously you have quite some space to last you a long time. You can also make separate Hakchi configs, the SNES Mini is like an iPod.. you have all the games on your computer but load them when necessary.

This. Supercharge it with new games through Super Haxchi2 when needed! It is awesome to see that this little device emulates the special SNES chips so well for the specific games that use it. I can't wait to have my little son of 2,5 years have it's first real gaming steps with Nintendo on the Mini and the WiiU. And softmodding makes all these devices so much more awesome then they already are.

I'm not going to play all of them, but the cool thing of the nesc is, that a full romset fits on it... it's cool for the looks :)
I have 750 +/- on my NESC, but I only play like 50 of them.... I can't top them out of my head though...
For asthetics it just looks cool... I never meddled with any other system on my NESC then NES games

Are there other NTSC patches to know about?

I don't see an NTSC patch there for Exhaust Heat (there is a Jap version of the game, but iirc all the text in that version is in Japanese and it makes it impossible to play, unless you speak Japanese which I don't).

The games I plan on adding:

- Chrono Trigger
- DKC2 and DKC3
- Seiken Densetsu 3

Don' want to go overboard, I'm more curious as to how well the emulator handles Square Enix's funky handling of the SPC700, and Chrono Trigger uses it in very unique ways. IIRC, even the Wii
had issues replicating the Lavos scream.

that would be my idea too, typically just adding the ones I really own (or want to play like seiken densetsu 3 in english) so I could play from the comfort of my little snes, instead of dusting one of my 3 snes.

I don't see the point in adding a full romset (especially knowing the ui is really not made to browse 1000 games)

Keep those 50, delete the other 700 as it just limits the scrolling through them in search of the 50 you do play? Save the memory space to put other games on... But hey, whatever rocks your boat. With the NES mini the 750 romset was doable, with SNES mini it is not and the N64 mini will be less space even if the same hardware is used ;-) So start making your shortlist of games ahead of time!

If you want all roms ever made on something, buy a WiiU and softmod it. Have one or two external HDD's attached with anything you can find for any system and its the best collectors library available ever in one console (which you can even have your SNES Mini controllers connected to the Wiimotes and use them!).

the built in emulator is able to read compressed files

You are the first person to 'confirm' that. Most have said it doesn't.

Japanese games are already in NTSC format. Only Europe used PAL 50hz which means games need to be modified to run at correct speed on NTSC emulators/hardware.

Allready have a Softmodded Wii, all emulators on it, also dios mios, and usb loader gx

Yes I know that the Jap games are NTSC and the PAL are 50hz.

But it seems there are only 2 versions of Exhaust Heat. Jap NTSC which is full of Japanese text (that I can't read) and the PAL version in English.

So what I was saying, is I can not find a Patch to convert the PAL version to NTSC so it can be played on my mini in English.

EDIT: it is ok, it seems the game was renamed F1 ROC for North America
