Hacking Need Advice on new n3ds

ok I got everything to work, thank you for restoring my confidence.

luma is installed and I am trying to do the finalizing setup section but encounter a problem.

Section II - Launching OCS

1. Launch the Download Play application
2. Press (L) + (Down) + (Select) at the same time to open the Rosalina menu
3. Select “Miscellaneous options”
4. Select “Switch the hb. title to the current app.”
5. Press (B) to continue
6. Press (B) to return to the Rosalina main menu
7. Press (B) to exit the Rosalina menu
8. Press (Home), then close Download Play
9. Launch the Download Play application
10. Your device should load OCS

I get to step 4 and select the option but it goes to another screen that states "Operation failed (no suitable process found."

You have to actually enter Download Play, not be on the home menu.

Yea, I just figured it out when I went outside to take my dog out. Got it working now

I was confusing the Rosaline menu with actually being in download play.

actually you can pull up that menu in any app (but download play is the only recommended app . . . so i assume it works the best)

Hello everyone, This is my first post but I have been coming to GBAtemp for years. I've always found the answers I need here on the site when I needed them.

I've modded lots of things in the past but am now ready to take the dive into modding my New N3ds XL Hyrule edition. I am on 11.4, I stopped letting the 3ds update itself and now that 11.5 is out I felt comfortable enough to start the process to mod my 3ds. I am a zelda fanatic and own all the releases from NES->Wii U. I am going to rip my games and have already started a project of building a Zelda themed Arcade unit. But I want my 3ds to hold everything Zelda from nes, SNES, GB, GBC, GBA, nDS and n3DS. All the other stuff (n64, GC, Wii, Wii U & Switch) will be on the Big Arcade unit.

So, this brings me to today. I have the newest R4i Gold 11.5 & SKY3DS+ 11.5 on order from nds-card. Once it gets here I will dive head first into getting this accomplished.

Any advice for a new user to the 3ds modding scene?

no need for a Sky3DS+ right now... really, there's no need to spend money on that.
just buy a NTRBoot compatible flashcart and install it
you will have any 3DS game you want with no 3DS flashcart requirement
about DS games, well, you will have to get a DS flashcart or restore your NTRBoot flashcart to a normal one
if you do not understand what I mean, you can read all the info in the page I told you or you can ask me, I will gladly answer you

yes, twl loader does not have a very decent compatibility
a flashcart it's recommended

Oh that's very disappointing. Why is there so much trouble with regular ds games?

I got freeshop up and running and started doing some research on emulators.
Can the 3ds emulate the early cd systems?

Sega CD, saturn, Dreamcast? Sony ps1 or psp? N64 or gc?

I ultimately want to focus on designing my own theme, splash, badges, etc. I saw a program that allows for gba roms to be injected into the Cia files with customization options but I forgot what its called. I was wondering if there are other programs out there for nes, gb/gbc, and snes that allows Cia injection as well?
