Hi people, I looked at the guidelines for in here and HOPE I'm ok to post this.

I need some help please, my daughter (really) loves Animal Crossing and begged me to get the homebrew on the 3DS which I did (with a load of trouble) but it works via the OOT hack, so I get the AC:NL editor from the github and use the built in save manager (JK's) on homebrew to dump the save but the trouble is that the editor says the files are an invalid size so I tried to get the save manager by Marco but the site is now down and its not mentioned on the github. All I want to do is find out how she can use the editor and if its the cause of the save manager hat the files won't load.

She will be ok with the editor but daddy gets the job of setting it all up...Lucky me...

Any help would be majorly appreciated, she's not long out of hospital and recovering from anorexia so I'm trying to get her as motivated as possible.

Paul...

For animal crossing when I use the save manager I use http://www.marcrobledo.com/acnl-editor/ for this. Jk"s SM will produce a couple files which you need the garden.dat or garden_plus.dat for editing. Just be careful with editing anything with the island and some things with neighbours house items. Also do keep a clean save backup aswell just in case anything happens.

Hi there, thanks for the reply, sadly the site you linked to is down and has been for a while, that's why I wanted to get his save manager that he had produced to compliment his editor. JK's does export the saves but the editor says they are the wrong size. Was hoping to find marco's save manager to see if it produced the right files as I've seen from looking that some save managers don't work properly.

I get the garden / exhibition files etc but they won't load, just want to hand this all over to my daughter so she can edit to her hearts content :)

Paul.

I've been able to access the site (I was even able to access it just now) and I've never had an issue with JKSM giving the wrong file sizes for the garden_plus.dat file. In fact, no one else has complained of the site being down or JKSM giving the wrong file sizes. Are you sure you're only opening the garden.dat/garden_plus.dat file?

Hi there, sorry for the late reply, I'll recheck it was JKSM, it did give a list of files from what I remember, the wasa garden one, an exhibition and others but as this is all new to me and I'm really just setting it up for my daughter I didn't really pay that much attention. I remember dragging the garden.dat on to the Garden part of the little editor window and it coming up with what looked like a Visual C type window complaining about the file size, same when I tried the exhibition.dat one.

What I'll do is make sure its the right save exporter and try again, hopefully it will work then as she's driving me mad :)

As for the site, nope can't get on it, can't find the server, maybe you have it in your cache from previous visits..

Try a different browser or a different computer for accessing the site. I can access the site just find on my end just fine so it's definitely something on your end. You should not be using any PC versions of the editor, btw. Just find a way to use the website editor.
