There are only a few AAC header formats supported, so you're probably better with OGG. I mostly just added AAC for eShop music support and didn't bother testing a lot with different types.

But BCSTM is better than both.

You should use .ogg if you can't use .BCSTM or if you don't know how to create them

Oh ok, thanks.

I made a shop-intro.ogg and shop-loop.ogg and placed them in /3ds/data/freeShop but it still plays the default bgm.

So I dumped some bcstm's with GodMode9 of Majora's Mask 3D, though when I go to play it It never plays. OGG files play fine with no issue and I even used files from brawlcustommusic and even those don't play. I have dumped my DSP firm as well so I have no idea whats going on. I'm using arc13's fork of freeshop and would appreciate it if anyone could help me as I do like seamless looping.

The ability to add custom tracks to freeShop is great, I converted some of my fav. songs to OGG and they seem to play just fine!
Now I can finally listen to something else instead of the only two annoying tracks that come with it ;)
