Before, it wasn't working because, for whatever reason, it couldn't load the 7.1 boot.firm off the SD card, so it loaded it off your CTRNAND instead. When that happens, it can't load payloads off the SD card.lol
Now it worked like a charm for a some reason
Thanks
Yeah after you guys told me to download the old payload - I realized that guide doesn’t mention it because it thinks that u still have the old one on your SD Card (in my case i deleted it)Before, it wasn't working because, for whatever reason, it couldn't load the 7.1 boot.firm off the SD card, so it loaded it off your CTRNAND instead. i dont know if it is (probably), buConsidering that SD cards are flash media it's highly improbable that he'd be able to recover anything, especially since it's corrupted.
t what happened is i was copying cias like the guy earlier in the thread and my adaptor disconnectedYou said you have Luma v8.1? You can just follow this part of 3ds.guide. Before you boot up your 3DS, just put any other CIAs you want installed in the cias folder (like freeShop).
on the sd would there be anything left of the game? eg. filename, titlekeyUnless you have a NAND backup from before you formatted your 3DS that you can restore, you can only restore your games by reinstalling them.
As for the SD corruption, that data is likely lost.

The only thing you can find on your SD card, assuming it wasn't corrupted, is encrypted contents that won't work with your 3DS after formatting it. If you restore a NAND backup from before the format, it might be able to read the contents on the SD card. However, you said the SD card was corrupted, so I don't know how likely that is.on the sd would there be anything left of the game? eg. filename, titlekey
well, too late. I recovered all my data anyways, also how can i boot into godmode9? and get the homebrew launcherIt might be better for you to just wipe everything and install the latest Luma. With a corrupt SD card, and a formatted NAND, it will be much easier than trying to recover all of your lost data...
okay ill reset it but where do i start? It might be better for you to just wipe everything and install the latest Luma. With a corrupt SD card, and a formatted NAND, it will be much easier than trying to recover all of your lost data...
Just format your NAND, and then format your SD card. Just make sure to grab any .3dsx homebrew or themes off there if you want to keep them...okay ill reset it but where do i start?

For 3DS:
1. Turn on 3DS
2. Go to Settings
3. Go to Other Settings
4. Go to Format (or whatever it says, I don't have my 3DS on me ATM)
For SD:
1. Plug in your SD into your computer
2. Right Click (or CTRL + click on Mac)
3. Click Format
4. Choose either 32kb or 64kb cluster
5. Choose FAT32
6. Uncheck Quick Format (more stable, not necessary though)
7. Click Format
8. Download latest Luma .firm file and drag it to SD root
9. Boot your 3DS and configure your Luma 3DS settings
That's how you format your 3DS!
im gonna sound stupid probably but, when I go onto FBI it only lets me copy and paste. How do I install?Just format your NAND, and then format your SD card. Just make sure to grab any .3dsx homebrew or themes off there if you want to keep them...
