i am not giving an hard time..
ok i may sound a little "rude" but come on..
sky3ds costs 80+ bucks + micro sd card
it's only a 3ds cartridge emulator, you can't do anything with it except play original games
for the 80 bucks he may as well just buy the games, they cost like peanuts now
you can't even region free with it (and if you do\did it's the same proccess with real carts)
the way to scroll trough games is using a phisical button, if you have more than 10 games you will have an hard time to choose the one you want
plus, dealing with headers for online...

like i said, might just buy the official games from ebay or something for the money and hassle he will spend dealing with that
in one month or 2, the newest firmware will be hacked and he will have a 80 bucks trash
You are all Right, I was wondering about because I believed it was a good option, but is too expensive and i probably cant get it here in Japan. Im a little bit scared about the recent ban wave, i used to have SoundHax. lol

So the most recent ban wave seems to be only effecting the users who used the "Public Seed." Users who either weren't banned or used a private seed, did not appear effected.
I have two systems, Goat and Scarlet (new3DS,) both are regularly tested and maintained. Thus far neither of them have been banned from the most recent banwave.

-------------info may be wrong---------------
that ban wave is unrelated to the bans on using "public" headers....
2 different things...
the ban from the public headers only prevent you from playing multiplayer (and i remember reading it is just a15 days ban anyway)
while the ban from the recent banwave prevents people from using online services all togheter in some cases (i am not really sure, i was banned back then when playing the unlreleased pokemon game)
-------------edit se lilith post-------------------------

basically sky 3ds pretends to be a real cartridge...
you don't have even a menu or anything, the card makes the 3ds think it's a real cart...
this means, no homebrew, no modifications, nothing... the same thing as using the real games but without having to remove them to swap them

get a r4\dstwo or something similair for DS games, those are worth every cent
buy the real 3ds games while you wait for the release of exploit (not only they are cheap now, but you are helping the 3ds not dying)

but the 3ds is already dying, actually i have the R4, the first card was released.

I am going to have a hard time making a simple term for this, but the "seed" is short for "LocalFriendCodeSeed." This is basically the part of the system that used when going online and is the main target of most bans. In extremely simple terms.
If your system isn't hacked, this isn't something you need to worry about. If your system is hacked, it's a very simple file to replace and get back online.

ohh ok now understand, so probably that was the ban wave target then.

The most recent one was the "public seed." Which was basically an non-banned seed that was uploaded online for everyone to use.
"Private seeds," are seeds that a dumped from non-banned systems and are either shared in small groups or for personal use.

Probab

Probably the only card banned is the R4 i think. is really difficult to get it in Japan
even in places like aliexpress? õ3o
Migles told everything, it's totally illegal there but even nintendo made an mediaplayer cart for DS (that don't actually played games, idk if someone did a way to do it, there was another mediaplayer like these for GBA too) that even sold SD with movies to you use on it õ3o

also technically " media player" is illegal since you don't payed for the music (or at least the use of that music in another system not the one you bought it .. there are stuff like that :v lol) and videos some users of r4 and alike tell that they are using it legal playing only games they have actually own, ripped from it or downloaded but having the game there

Importing flashcarts is the crime in this case. Japan in 2012 banned the importation for flashcarts back into the country and will confiscate the package if found. Large orders (like in the hundreds) will result in arrests as it's obvious that the person is a dealer.
Media players don't violate the law as they are not intended for music piracy. Music piracy itself is a separate crime.

I heard they consider music piracy if you rip it from a CD/LP you had to listem it on an ipo (or just something else haha] what is kinda stupid hahah but anyway ...
I get it but maybe he could get one, if want , in a used store or if lucky getting one online with some more stuff? idk :p hahah but there are lots of others ways if he want " homebrew" in a 3DS anyway

I not familiar with Japanese laws, so I don't know their stance on copying music. Hopefully the have sensible laws that don't forbid someone from ripping their own CDs. If someone is fimiliar with these laws, do PM me.
As for the the topic, the OP would have an extremely high chance that the package will make it to them. They aren't searching as much for these packages anymore, but there will always be that risk that the package is confiscated (no matter how slim.)
I don't live in Japan, but I also don't I see many people reporting back on their packages being confiscated. So going off the lack of upset threads from Japanese users, I am going to assume most of the packages meet their destination.

So that was the reason, incredible.
