Some history: I was both online banned and Console Banned during that whole pokemon sun/moon bans era. Then I used a "private" LFCS to unban my online play ban at the very least. Now ninty started to ban cfw users online play again due to "unauthorized software use" which we know are the pirated games we play/install on our system.
I do not have a nnid on my system(to be exact I can't as I was perma-banned earlier), nor I have spotpass on. I also had disabled downloading of automatic software option which is kind on another telemetry. I use a emunand setup with cfw/gateway & a9lh.
Now we all know how LocalFriendCodeSeed can be easily exchanged from one 3ds system to another to circumvent online play ban.
When ninty wants to disable your online play they just ban your LFCS to be exact. LFCS is generated console specific, meaning it has your device ids. Hence when their servers check your seed they know the device is banned since they can easily cross check in a sense. Also placing a banned LFCS into a new hacked non-banned 3ds will also render its online play to a full stop from where this theory comes.I may be wrong no doubt.
When you play pirated games/homebrews, go online etc what ninty can do is ban your unique LFCS since it has your device ids and all. And currently we cant manipulate data on LFCS due to it being encrypted so we are stuck with one seed each device.
Source 3ds/2ds- Newly bought/original stock(never hacked) condition which has gone online at least once in that condition. Hack it and extract the LFCS from it. After that you have two options: Either return it to stock and play legitimately on it or either hack it and replace targets 3ds lfcs in it which is eventually going to be banned. So that it cant go online.
Target 3ds/2ds- This is the main 3ds where you want to play online and go crazy with the hacks and all. Unfortunately your lfcs will eventually be banned in one like the current ban waves. So use the source lfcs already to keep your online play safe.
Since it has the source's lfcs and the source 3ds didn't send data to servers about any pirated content or doesn't go online, your current borrowed seed should be safe(theoretically), what will be banned would be your target console's seed which we already don't care about.
This definitely wont work where both the source and targets are hacked and play online by pirating. Specially public seeds or even a seed shared with just one friend, where both friends pirate and go online.
EDIT- It's not like this is solid way of preventing bans. Nintendo can actually ban you again by matching the seeds id with your console.
