Hey,
Been away from the scene for a good while, had always used either Gateway or Reinand, but decided to give Luma3ds a shot.

Currently i'm following 3ds.guide, i've launched udsploit which ends in "udsploit: UDS_InitializeWithVersionC9411002, press start from there and launch safehax only to get "[!] PM INIT FAILED!'. I've tried safehax rev: 21, 19, 18 with no luck.

I don't suppose it has anything to do with having an emunand installed currently?

Any help or insight would be appreciated.

Go onto SYSNAND, and run it from there. If that doesn't work, download the release 19 version of safehax...

I am launching homebrew menu from Sysnand (using both Soundhax & Cubic Ninja). Rev 19 made no difference for me.

Do you have wireless turned on ?

That was my problem, wifi was not enable. With Rev 19 all looks to be going well now.

Installed Luma on a friends O3DS, then when doing mine, quickly skimmed through the guide and missed / forgot about wifi. :P

Thank you.

Heh, my N3DS may have just bricked?

After the key combo for Safehax, it reset / shut down. Now if the power button is pressed, blue light comes on for a split second then off. lol

Of the 3ds.guide,

Section III - Installing boot9strap
  1. Wait for all safety checks to complete
  2. When prompted, input the key combo given to install boot9strap
  3. Once it has completed, press (A) to reboot your device
  4. Your device will boot into boot9strap, then shutdown automatically because it does not yet have a payload to launch
Afterwards, will not power on though.

Are you saying it won't boot even with the boot.firm in the root?

Got it, thank you guys for your help.

Now from my understanding, while i'm on 'Sys 9.0.0-20U' I can use the system updater to go to the latest firmware?
