I am using Luma instead now. Thanks any way. But still looking forward Cakes.
If you would like a good suggestion for a replacement for CakesFW, I highly suggest checking Corbenik instead. Corbenik was inspirited by CakesFW and works very similar to CakesFW.

Heh, you got that right, @Crystal the Glaceon.

So, just a small heads-up that I just published a new build.
It isn't really anything new, just a small update to support sighax.
As usual, you can get it here: http://ny1.hashbang.sh:8834/nightly/Cakes_197.zip

Next thing on the list is fixing n3ds reboot.cake support. Sorry for my suddent absence. Finals came up and between that and really not feeling like it I didn't really do anything.
However, good news is that after next monday, I will start an early vacation. I hope that I'll manage to put some work into this. Will give you guys a heads-up if that ends up being the case, been thinking about a lot of stuff and I might like some user input.
Until then, see ya!

Works, but keeps giving me a "failed to decrypt cetk" error

Welp, I guess that broke again with SigHax. Makes sense since FIRM0 is empty. I don't look forward to fixing that, but I'll try to get at it as soon as I can.
But it still boots. So it does indeed work, just doesn't get past that point.

No, I mean the CETK decryption broke. I really ought to replace that by now, but for now you can still use an old firmkey.bin, and everything else will work.
Sorry for the delay, I had to setup sighax on my new3DS since I had CakesFW already running on it. It works just fine now, but does need that old firmkey.bin

@The Real Jdbye, I could see AMD trying to pull off the CPU GPU tandem thing, would be a way to maybe close the gap a bit with Nvidia. Plus it would kinda put Nvidia at a future disadvantage since Nvidia can't make X86/64 CPUs? Intel and AMD licensing issues... I wonder how much that has held back innovation.
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
i don't think nvidia wants to get in the x64 cpu market anyways
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
you've seen how much intel is struggling getting into the gpu market
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
and nvidia is already doing ARM
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
i don't think they want to take more focus away from their gpus

Yeah I think Nvidia s future lays in AI GPU acceleration stuff if they can get that going it's going to be super interesting in the long term

AI assisted game creation might become a thing

  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
@Psionic Roshambo AI assisted game creation is kinda already here, there was recently that AI that can turn any 2D image into a fully modeled 3D object, it's not perfect, but it's a starting point, beats starting from zero

  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
before that there was one to generate a fully modeled scene from a 2D image

  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
but most recently, there was one that actually generates a working unity scene with terrain and textures already set up that you can import right into unity, that's a huge time saver right there

and using LLMs to generate NPC dialogue and even dynamically generated quests is something i'm sure is already happening
