Hacking I need help...

Hello everyone. I was using 3ds guide to install the luma CFW in an old 3ds xl version 11.2. Anyways I got to the step where I needed to configure luma and scroll down and activate "Autoboot SysNAND" "Use SysNANF FIRM if booting with R" and "Show NAND or user string in System Settings". I pressed start and got the black screen. Now that's all I get, if I take out the SD card the 3ds will shut off right away and if I keep it in the 3ds stays in a black screen. What's the problem and what can I do?

Do you have arm9loaderhax.bin in the root of your SD Card?

Can you open payloads? You should be able to if Luma configuration can open. But wait for @PabloMK7 to give the "okay" since I'm far from smart

I can't open up anything, my 3ds won't go past the black screen. Unless you mean the payload file? There's GodMod9.bin in there.

Rename it "left_gdmode9" (don't add an extension) and hold left to open it as a test.

What happens if you hold START white powering on the 3DS? You should be in a menu where you can choose godmode9 (you need to have the file godmode9.bin in /luma/payloads). If you can start godmode9 you can restore your nand backup as the guide says.

Nothing. It's just black. But I tried downloading an older version of Luma and it shows the configuration options but when I press start it just takes me back to a black screen.

Don't use a old version. Put a new "arm9loaderhax.bin" on the root, then go to the Luma folder on the SD and delete the "Config.bin". Turn the console off, reboot holding "select"

If you get to the boot screen. Select these:

Autoboot SysNand
Enable Game Patching
Show Nand
Show GBA

Press Start and Save.

If you aren't using an emuNAND, you don't need the option, "Use SysNAND FIRM if booting with R"
Also try downloading the very latest Luma3DS and hourglass9. Now the latest luma3DS no longer require you rename anything, you can just move the "hourglass9.bin" to the payloads folder. From there boot the system holding "Start" and it will bring up the payload menu where you can launch hourglass9 to restore your NAND backup.

You no longer need to rename payloads with Luma3DS, they added a payload menu to Luma3DS.

If you use a luma version before 7.0 you need to rename godmode9.bin to start_godmode9.bin. Powering on the 3DS while holding START should get you directly to godmode9.
If you use luma 7.x the file needs to be named godmode9.bin. Powering on the 3DS while holding START should get you to the payloads menu where you can choose godmode9.

If that doesn't happen then I don't know what to do.

Did you delete home menu data? Try that. If it still doesn't work, try using Hourglass9 or Decrypt9 (keep a9lh) to restore your NAND backup.
