Henkaku r9 released

image.jpeg

The scene for the PlayStation Vita is still going strong, as a new revision of Henkaku is here for all. This version brings a simple, but useful feature; being able to change Henkaku settings from the actual Vita settings, instead of molecular shell. Minor bugfixing is also part of the new revision as well. You can of course, get it now, by rebooting your Vita, and visiting Henkaku.xyz in the browser. This revision comes off the back of the recently teased Henkaku Enso, (and r9 is not Enso, FYI) so be sure to stay tuned for any further updates.

Changelog (release-9, 5/11/2017):

  • Fixed a bug in one of the patch that may crash SceShell
  • Disabled triggering of (nonworking) force reinstall in offline mode
  • Fixed slow file reading in molecularShell
  • Fixed crash in installing VPK (thanks d3m3vilurr)
  • Moved HENkaku settings to the official Settings application (thanks The_FloW)
  • Fixed problem of molecularShell corrupting VitaShell theme and settings (thanks The_FloW)

Does this allow newer cartridge games to run since the version is spoofed? I've been meaning to open my copy of Shantae for months
By version spoofing it means tricking PSN into allowing you to connect with an older firmware. Unfortunately, like Zukov says, it doesn't allow you to play newer games.

Might very well be related to this so...

The latest version of the Henkaku Offline Installer is 1.0?
That is the latest that shows on vita homebrew browser.

Once i run it, it will mimic the currently installed henkaku (R9)?

Thank you.

You may have to reboot and try installing Henkaku while holding R1. Others and myself were having similar issues.

There was a R9 v2 that was pushed out. Anyone having issues with the settings not appearing, just goto the henkaku page again via the browser, this should fix it.

Offline installer needs the email app reset (henkaku uninstalled) and reinstalled after successfully updating via the browser. There are issues if you try to overwrite an old offline install with r9.

I think its about time i get a Vita myself :P
Any cool special edition i should look out for?
I managed to get a MH4U New 3DS XL so i wouldn't want my vita to look plain in comparison :P
I would personally want the white World Of Final Fantasy limited edition Vita if I didn't already have one when they released that version.

No one can help?
If you read the thread you would've seen this:
being able to change Henkaku settings from the actual Vita settings, instead of molecular shell.
and this:
You may have to reboot and try installing Henkaku while holding R1. Others and myself were having similar issues.
If that still doesn't fix your problem, you have to be more specific in describing it.
