Damaged GB Mega Man 4 module

Hi guys.

I bought a Gameboy Mega Man 4 module on ebay considered as damaged. I tried the usual things like contact spray, blowing, slight rubbering... but the game refuses to start after the Start logo. As you can see on the pics the nintendo logo is damaged when starting the game. If you take a look at the contacts on the other pic you can see they are quiet used and abraded. There is something called "silver conductive varnish" on the market. Is anyone experienced in using this on a module? Or is there a chance to change the contacts? Or does anyone have another idea what to to?

It could be the Rom or Ram on your cartridge, my Pokemon Green freezes after 5 Minutes or on the Nintendo Logo.

Maybe it's not an original game, maybe you have clone one like my Pokemon green (English fan translation).

the board seems original, but a better photo could tell better... I don't know a way to "restore" these contacs, one time I had a n64 game with big damage there (was from a rental store and some idiot busted it just for fun or something idot people do ...), I asked a friends to try "fill" it with soldering stuff but he wasn't that skilled :v not sure if it would work actually

you could try to replace the resistors, maybe one of them is broken.

good idea, but before taking them out, he should test them first

could be bit rot, I have had 2 carts so far that simply did not work, I checked traces etc and still no luck, but that said if you give up I wouldn't mind taking a crack at it , I could always make a nice repro with a real sticker (not planning to resell it as real, it would be for my own collection )

First try cleaning the contacts with a rubber, Its the best way to clean them.
If that won't help maybe try this method, I never tried it myself:

Hi guys.

Thanks a lot for the great response! I tested the resistors. The left one did around 900 Ohms and the right one around 450 Ohms. Is that normal???

I also tested the tiny connectos (which I thought were the problem). They all responded, so it seems that they are NOT too used/abradedto work. Tomorrow I will test the soildering "Evilengine" recommended and keep you updated.

Unfortunately nothing worked out... :-( The game still refuses to start. How do I test out if the RAM or ROM is causing the problem? Is there a way to exchange them?
