Are your locked/unfixed keys bin-files 80 bytes each?
If a write fails to a tag theres a great chance that tag is wasted btw.
Tried different amiibo-bin-files aswell?

This build (masterchan777 fork) https://mega.nz/#F!9WJSHDAL!Si2pHDhT7jc6sC6RzDvuLw usually works good with samsung phones.
Yes I have tried those too. nothing! it keeps giving me the decryption error.

EDIT: I am wondering if the problem is with the ntags. could you please suggest me from where should I buy new ones?

EDIT2: I also tried tagmo on a one plus one phone. Same errors...

are your bin files from that 3DS site with ISO? if you downloaded the complete collection of amiibos it contains a proper key file you need for tagmo..must be the files you used rather than the tagmo version..

Can you give me a link for that please?

I'm not sure if this is allowed, but I compiled kidels fork of this app since it has a more updated database and allows for wolf link modifications. Since the OP has been MIA for 3 months, I thought I'd share it with you (so you don't have to compile it yourself)

Works as expected on my oneplus one

Is there a way to do this using a PC (or any add-on for a PC). I don't have android. I want to make amiibo cards so it would be cool for someone to be able to let me write to tags without android (do android emulators work? Idk).

It would be cool if this app could emulate an NTAG215 so I could just touch my phone to the Switch Pro controller.

NTAG215 is surprisingly pricey for a roll of them if I don't want to wait for months getting something shipped from China.

The tags cannot be emulated by a phone. Actually. I take that back. It can be emulated but the phone has to have a certain chipset to make it work. I was reading about the chipset needed and stuff on another thread but cant find it now. The tags are pricey but only in limited quantities and only if you buy state side. If you're willing to wait for them from China they are fairly cheap. I ordered a hundred because I know I'm going to goof and mess some tags up. Which I did. But now I have a full setup to make my own amiibos and I only messed up 5-6. If you only order 10-15 and you lose half your crop to "experiments" that's harsh. And BTW. I didn't have to wait "months" for mine. I ordered and my payment cleared from my bank (dont usually send money to China) and had my tags in my hand with a month. Little over 3 weeks.

You can use NFC Tools from the play store to see if you have the correct type of tags. My ntag215 come up as Tag type: NXP MIFARE Ultralight (Ultralight C). And it comes up as writable and blank. Obviously once it's written to it's not writable or blank anymore.

Its strange to hear that ntag215 can only be written to once. I thought the memory in the actual amiibo's could be cleared out and reset? I've done this on Wii U and Switch I believe a few times.

I'll check out NFC Tools, thanks.

EDIT: Also, how do you mess up a tag? Move it around too much while it is writing? I ordered a 5-pack off ebay just to test before I take the plunge ordering a bunch.

NTAG215 can be rewritten. They can also be partially or fully locked. If you think about it, tags would be pretty useless if anyone with a phone could walk up to them and change them.

Some parts of the tag (including the type of amiibo) have to be locked in order for the tag to be recognized as an amiibo. You can change the data associated with the the amiibo, but you can't change which amiibo it is.

I hold my phone over the tag and hold it very steady for about 10 seconds. The movement is very minimal and that was my problem. Moving it too much. The tag has to be detected and then written to. The phone (or at least my phone) doesn't pick it up in a flash. Moving it while it is being written to can mess up the tags. I have a few that got half written to I guess but it wont recognize as an amiibo and wont write to it again.

So no, once you write an Amiibo to a NFC tag you can't wipe it and change it to a different one. The only part of the Amiibo that can be rewritten is the part like the character's stats and what not. So if you got a limited quantity of blanks, use them wisely. Once you write an Amiibo to one, that tag will be that Amiibo forever.

So, with Ntag215 "amiibo" we can save/delete character's stats, in example for SSB?

Thanks

Search ldtageditor. You will need to read some forums! You need NTAG213's which cost about £3.00 for 10 (cheap as chips) on ebay. Seems to have worked on my Huawei P8 although I didn't try it yet - I'm getting dimensions for kids Christmas present.

Here's bringing up a post from the past.

I read your post originally and had gotten a copy of wave 7.5 apk back in february, but didn't do much with it. Today, I decided to put the characters up in storage and use tags, as the kids keep scattering them all out when they play. I transferred the apk to the phone and am getting a parsing error. The original location on reddit has now gone private. Did you ever get it to work? Google searches for ldtageditor now lead nowhere.

Ok finally have a phone with NFC so I tried this. However the app crashes immediately when I try to start it. :(

The phone I'm using this on is a Samsung S3 Mini running Android 4.2.2. Is there a specific version I have to use with this version of Android?

Try armeabi-v7a or universal version.

My old S3 Mini does not have NFC. :(

Ok updated the phone to 4.4.2. Was not fun looking for that update. The phone would just tell me it's up to date when I tried to use the update feature in settings. So I hunted down a stock rom of 4.4.2 for this device and flashed it with Odin.

TagMo boots up now. :D

Ok new problem. Now that I got around to trying it, it doesn't do anything when I go to write or scan a tag. It just sits there asking me to put the tag under the phone. :(

I am pretty sure I have the write tags (and even if they weren't it would at least try and give me an error or something).
