Hacking CFW Noob Questions

Hello there.

Recently, I bought a faulty O3DS to make some experiments. The console needed some parts replaced and it's working properly now. Thing is, it's an EUR console, and since I have my own USA New3DS as my main one, I thought this O3DS could be something very cool to try and experiment on.

Okay so, I read how to install Luma 3DS and that's what I'm planning to do, since it seems to be the best CFW available, but I'll only try it once I'm completely sure about what is safe and what isn't. My main objective is to have EmuNAND changed to match my region, and that would also include changing the eShop region since I know that's tied to the system's original region.

I'm aware I need the SecureInfo_A from a donor console to set this, but here's my main concern: I know an O3DS can get the SecureInfo_A from a N3DS, and it doesn't matter if the console has already connected to the internet (mine has, obviously, hundreds of times).. but the thing is I've read that doing this and then connecting to the internet could cause both consoles to be permabanned, and I obviously don't want this to happen to my main console.

Is there a way to get the SecureInfo_A from my main console and insert it into the O3DS and not have my console banned? But also, is what I'm trying to do possible at all?

Are you sure you read it? Your information is quite out of date, you don't need a donor Secure_Info_A anymore.

Yeah, I read it, but I read many more guides too which were outdated according to what you're mentioning. The fact that this guide didn't mention any of that made me think it was probably incomplete in that regard.

only ever follow 3ds.guide for putting cfw on a 3ds, ESPECIALLY if you haven't done any 3ds hacks before (or hax, depending on what you're doing)
