I tried installing this and when I started the app it told me that the SD card had been removed, and now I cant see any icons on my home screen aside from the stock ones :/
What can I do to get my apps back (and also get the patch running)?

Turn off your 3ds and try again

this sounds like a problem with your SD card, not with the patch, try shutting down the 3ds, eject sd card, reinject, boot 3ds. if that does not help you should check your sd card in your pc.

One random thing I just noticed: after applying the patch, I had the maxed out version of the sword and shield of the final boss. I JUST started this game, so... I'm not going crazy, am i? How did I get this?

Its normal because you import your Gen to Cross game, then in the transfer to Cross to Double cross the game consider some of your weapons are the ID of the new final boss. I have the sns and db but i just deleted

Maybe a bit off topic but I have some questions: 1) Is a MH X save necessary for something in particular (like some bonus content to unlock with save transfer from the previous game) or is it to just carry over the progress? 2) Is XX version just a "G" version of X? 3) I never played the X version because I was waiting for this but some dlcs came out for it, does this version have them already included, if not how do i get them?

So far it's crashed twice on this screen. Once when I tried loading the game for the first time after installing the patch. The second time when going to my System Settings. I can get on the game and play. Just thought I'd share that.

Turns out there were some corrupted files in one of the titles that couldn't be deleted, so I guess I'm running a very lengthy chkdsk now. Maybe it's time for a new SD card, lmao.

1) Mostly to carry over your progress. There may be some bonuses but they'll just be some bullshit items.
2) Yes, but there's a lot more than just G Rank quests to it.
3) They'll probably release them again in the future, again as DLC's. They are not included from the get go.
